Spriggan

Directed by: Hirotsugu Kawasaki

Not to give too much away, Spriggan is based on the manga of the same name (released as Striker in America); the feature film Spriggan follows Onimae Yu, a Spriggan. A Spriggan is an elite agent of a secret organization called: ARCAM. In the movie Noah's Ark is found in Turkey and there, Onimae Yu along with Jean (Spriggan France) fight to keep the Ark, with villains such as Fattman, Littleboy, and Colonel MacDouggal trying to take it. Spriggan is an excellent film with many pluses. It has great action sequences, excellent performances (Spike Spencer, voice of Shinji, is fantastic as "Littleboy"), crisp animation, and a great plot.

The DVD features a commentary track, this is first I had ever heard for an anime and I was quite pleased. It also contains video profiles of characters, vehicles, backgrounds, etc. Also, 5.1 Dolby Digital sound, picture presented enhanced for wide screen, interactive menus, English and Japanese languages, and ADV previews.

Final Verdict: Highly recommended, be sure to check this one out
