Tekken
Directed by: Sugishima Kunishisa
Heihachi Mishima threw his son, Kazuya, off a cliff when he was young. Kazuya then vowed to kill his father. Years later the Mishima Conglomerate is a large corporation and illegally manufacturing bio-weapons. The Mishima Conglomerate is holding a martial arts tournament and Jun is sent along with Lei to investigate. Many fighters, including Kazuya, make their way there. The fighters all meet to battle for revenge, money, and other motives.
Other than the film itself the DVD features a web-link, trailers for the movie, slides of the movie, character biographies, and ADV previews.
Final Verdict: The movie was a decent fighting film. Only an hour long, the story manages to introduce several characters from the games and some background on some of them. Others are barely seen, and others aren't named while playing minor roles. There's a tiny bit of nudity thrown in pointlessly and a small amount of cussing. The ending is a bit strange with a comment about the wind changing, if its anything more than the obvious, its probably a bit too deep for this type of film. If only Roger the Kangaroo had a greater role.
