This section will just be for, basically random thoughts and feelings. Since my thought process is mostly random you can probably expect this to be updated frequently. Back to Previous Pennys. Back to Pen Penny.
Although I usually don’t mention other websites (if you haven’t noticed I do not have a links section yet) I cannot help but mention this one. Manbeef.com is unquestionably an odd website. Basically, they sell human flesh to eat. Now before judging let’s take a closer look. First, there is the moral implications, but let’s set that aside for now. How does this website come about these products? Do they kill these people or do they die first? If they already died wouldn’t they be partly decayed and inedible? Can you get white or dark meat? Can you find better prices? Is this legal, or even serious? These were what first popped into my mind as I looked at the website. Looking through the website I noticed other parts of it. When first entering the website there is a pretty funny. It has a section of recipes to make a more scrumptious meal out of their product. Also, they have a nice section showing what meat is taken from where on people to let you know what you’re getting. In the store section they even have gift certificates, for the cannibal in everyone’s family. I then noticed the outrageous prices. $1000 for a brain! $500 for a heart! That’s taking it too far! Do they think cannibals are not only filthy, (no offense cannibals I have several friends who are also cannibals) but filthy rich? I doubt even cannibals would pay that much for food. Even, if it is human meat. If someone is that desperate they might as well go to medical school and eat their moneys’ worth of cadavers. At least they stopped selling genitals, supposedly people were using them and not eating them. Isn’t that all the difference? Although I do not approve of cannibalism manbeef.com is a pretty decent website. Real or not it is somewhat funny in the way it accepts cannibalism as if it is normal. It is a pretty funny site, in a sick kind of way that will keep you busy for a good hour. Once again back to the issue of morals. Is it morally all right to consume another’s flesh? No. Well… -12/19/01
