A Pen Pen for your Thoughts

This section will just be for, basically random thoughts and feelings. Since my thought process is mostly random you can probably expect this to be updated frequently. Back to Previous Pennys. Back to Pen Penny.

Failed Writings: Part 12: Gambling

I tried to write some things today:

Some Songs and Writings About Gambling

Attempt 1:
I bet when the betting’s good
I bet all of my family’s food
When I see a competition
I trust my intuition
And I bet, bet, bet
Hoping I don’t wind up in debt

Almost anything with a ball
The bet is never small
Foot, basket, or base
I lose things I can’t replace
But I still bet, bet, bet
Building up more debt

I can’t seem to stop
I need to make this flop
If my teams don’t get on track
They will break my back
I no longer bet, bet, bet
They made good on their threat

Attempt 2:
I put down my chips
The dealer deals me my hand
I begin to sob

Attempt 3:
I see the spinning
Where will the slot machine stop?
BAR, BAR, lemonade?

Attempt 4:
Up for collateral, oh, no, no
My bet is down on the table with great woe
I set down the deed to my house
When the cards are dealt I’m quiet as a mouse
When I look upon the cards given to me
I fight to suppress a look of glee
Why did I bet my house on the annie you say?
Well, I’m playing with people who have great pay
But I begin to lose my confidence
When my opponent’s bets made no sense
With another raise I have to call
So I put up my Doberman whose lean and tall
Up for collateral, oh, no, no
My bet is down on the table with great woe
Now I’ve put up my precious pet
And the betting in this hand isn’t done yet
As it goes around and they raise again
I hope and pray that I will win
I put up everything that I own
From my TV, to my car, to my cell phone
If I can’t pay up I’ll be gone without a trace
But look there now I made that ace
I lay down my hand expectantly
And I win for of aces I had more than three

Attempt 5:
Rage: Sing, Vegas, my rage, black and brutal, that cost Earl’s Greek bank account incalculable pain, pitched countless bills of charges into a bank vault’s dark, and left their empty coffers to rot as feasts for dust and dirt, as the casino owner’s will was done. Begin with the clash between the Mirage – the Vegasian warlord – and godlike Earl

Which of the immortal gambling devices set these two at each other’s throats? – 4/10/05
