Yusuke Yurameshi is known as a trouble maker at his high school. Well, he was known as a trouble maker. Only now, he's dead. Yusuke died by what he thought was saving the life of a little boy, but it turned out that, if he hadn't dove out into the street to "rescue" him, the boy would've actually been less injured. On top of that, the coordinators of the spirit world weren't ready for him to die. They didn't think he would do something like that! So now, he's kind-of stuck. Boton, who's actually the one in charge of the river Styx, is sent to help Yusuke get his life back. One problem, how is he supposed to convince his mother that he's still alive, when she's so drunk that she can barely stand! And Kuabara, his worst enemy, would probably want him back only to fight him again. Can he tell Kaeko in time? And just how is he going to? There's not much time left, and on top of all this, he has to make sure they don't cremate his body, never mind help him reenter it! Well, now he's trying to become alive, again. Except there's a few rules he has to follow. And after that, well, there's becoming a "Spirit Detective" and demons, and lots more fun stuff. And you wouldn't believe how many times he almost dies. And this is right after he becomes alive again. Poor Yusuke...
