Syaoran Li is a
ten-year-old boy who came to Japan from Hongkong in search of the Clow Cards. He
and Sakura started out as rivals (for both the Clow Cards and Yuki's affections
^_~X) but somehow, Sakura got under his skin and he fell for her... awwww!!!
After Eriol's arrival, he was supposed to return to Hongkong but for some reason
he couldn't understand, he felt compelled to stay. He didn't want to admit
it to himself but he just couldn't leave Sakura in Japan with Eriol hanging
around (Oooh, he's jealous... ^_^X).
Syaoran is
definitely not the typical ten-year-old. For one thing, being the
descendant of Clow Reed, he was very powerful. Also, he has a surly
nature, rarely smiles, and prefers to be alone. He doesn't seem to care
about what others thought about him, and he would do anything to reach his goals.
But he's not completely without scruples... after all, he fell for Sakura,
didn't he? ^_^X
One noticeable
thing about Syaoran is his high tendency to blush around people he likes that
way. In the early part of the series, he would blush like crazy around
Yukito, then in the middle part, he'd blush around Yuki and Sakura. Thank
God, he got over Yuki in the later part of the series and only flushed a deep
red whenever Sakura was around. Sakura, being dense, rarely noticed this.
