His Kisses Burn Like Acid

Dammit! I can't seem to ever forget you!
Do you realize that? How insane you drive me?
How after we were together I wanted nothing else?
If you pull away now.. I'll have to kill you..

"Hn." Heero grunted, his eyes slowly opening. Why did it hurt so much to open his eyes? There was intense light beaming into his eyes, blinding him. Shimatta! It's the sun! He winced as he lifted from off the bed. Everything hurt. His body ached from it's wounded, and his head was pounding. Heero heard a light rustle beside him. "Heeeero.. close the curtains it's too bright-" the sleepy voice of Duo told him. K'so!! What the hell happened? Heero reached over to close the curtain, he couldn't stand the light, it only infected him from clear thoughts. As he tried to calculate the situation he gazed over to Duo. Duo was wearing a pair of thin, silk, black boxers against his narrow hips. His braid curled around him as his chest was bare and smooth. His face soft, gentle, giving him the façade of a mythical being with the covers bundled at his feet. Obviously Duo had kicked them off.

Heero glanced over himself; he was still fully dressed in his close from the club. I didn't sleep with him. Heero concluded with a faint degree of amusement. But if he didn't, then why was he in Duo's room? He could throttle Duo for the answers, but he had to get out of the room before someone came in with the wrong impression. "Ah!" gasped a light voice, which quickly muffled.

It was Quatre; he was standing in the doorway staring at the two. It must have looked bad. Duo lying in his boxers and Heero pulling away from the bed. Heero gave Quatre a low glare. "Ah, I- just wanted to tell Duo that there was a phone call for him but I'll go-" Quatre said more surprised than nervous. "Hmmmm?" A weary Duo sounded out as his tired eyes opened to see Quatre. Yes, finally Duo was aware of the situation, his violet eyes widening, "Kuso!! It's not what either of you think!" Quatre shook his head, "No, no, it's none of my business, Duo, and you had a call I'll tell them to call back later!" Winner spoke so quickly before he shut the door.

Duo lifted up from his position, now with his knees against the bed as his eyes stared widely at Heero, "Don't kill me yet! Let me explain. You got drunk last night! Really.. drunk. We danced, and you were exhausted from the mission, so you passed out. Not a good mix Heero. We got to in the car and brought you home and put you in your room. Somehow you made it to my room. You fell straight asleep on my bed and I just went back to sleep too.."

Better leave out a couple of details, he doesn't need to know about the kiss, or how we danced. He waited for Heero to threaten him, but he never did. Heero simply kept his glare, his feet shifting as he moved for the door. Duo sighed softly. What did he expect? Heero was mad; of course he was going to leave simply like that. But he was proven wrong again as Heero locked the door. The American was uncertain whether he should be terrified or excited.

Heero's face remained towards the door even as he spoke, "I saw you last night.." Duo shifted, his skin rubbing against the silk of his boxers, "At the club, I know." Heero was hesitant to say anything else, his hand instinctively reached for his shirt, "Forget it.." Duo wet his lips. What is he doing? Don't stare Duo.. don't you dare stare at him.. But he couldn't help it, Heero was unbuttoning his shirt, the hunter green satin rustling as he tugged at the buttons irritated. "Ah! Heero! Show a little kindness, that it my shirt!" Duo protested, even though he wanted Heero to hurry and rid of it just as much. Heero tore down the middle of the shirt, ripping it free as the buttons tore through the fabric. Now to be clearly seen was the skin of Heero's chest, the sight was arousing to Duo, just how his body was shaped, and how his scars framed him. There was a bandage wrapped around his shoulder, hiding a wound from the mission as he approached the bed.

The braided boy held his breath. Heero wasn't drunk this time, and he was approaching quickly. "Heero?" Duo asked warily as the impassive face neared him. Heero thrashed out his hand, his fingers grasping around the boys throat, he gave a slow squeeze to the boys neck, Duo gasping as his own fingers reached to claw at Heero's. "I-Itai!!" Heero snarled slowly, his eyes cold, filled with only the depth of his rage. Heero balled up the hunter green shirt with one hand, promptly stuffing it into Duo's black silk boxers, "Here's your shirt."

At that he released Duo's neck, the boy choking as he tried to breath once more, feeling at his neck for damage as his eyes hooked to Heero's form. The Japanese boy was putting on his usual green tank top and spandex shorts. "I don't need anyone else wandering in and assuming the wrong idea," Heero clarified his reasons for locking the door as he was soon dressed in his usual wear. Duo's finger slid into his boxers, pulling the hunter green shirt from out of them. If Duo was hurt, he hid it damn well, smiling wistfully, "Heero, they all know that we'd never sleep together."

Heero's hand reached for the door, unlocking it with a swift motion. He didn't even turn back to give glance or response as he left the room. Duo released a long breath as Heero's presence left the room, falling back against the bed, nestling his head into the pillow as his fingers clenched the bed sheets. He held his eyes closed tightly. Heero's back the way he was. But.. last night his eyes were piercing my very soul. And.. when he kissed me.. if he even did kiss me.. I saw things in my mind. Thoughts of my past, thoughts of Heero. His eyes were so cold.. but his kiss was so warm.

"Kuso!" Duo yelled, muffling his voice against the pillow. You idiot he was drunk! You had a little to drink, maybe somebody slipped you something in the drink, maybe it was all.. just a dream. The door softly clicked open. "Ch' what's the matter Heero? Left something else?" Duo asked bitterly as his eyes lifted gradually to the door. Standing in the door way with the door pushed back wide open was Trowa. Duo groaned, rolling out of bed positively irritated, "Whatever Quatre told you isn't true, we didn't sleep together." "Quatre hasn't said anything.." Trowa said coolly. Duo raised a brow at hearing this news, shaking his head as he rummaged through the pile of clothes on the floor, tossing the hunter green shirt in the waste bin. "Then why are you here? I'm not in need of a pep talk Trowa." "Because there is someone at the front door for you.." "Aa? Someone at death's door step?"

Duo was hopping down the hall to the kitchen, trying to put his black jeans on and walk with little success. He let out a string of curses as his bare back kept hitting against the wall when he's tug up his pants, fumbling with each step. He reached the kitchen stick trying to pull up his pants with no progress, "Shimatta! I must have gained a hundred pounds these stupid pants won't even- fit!" On the last word he managed to slide the pants over his narrow hips, toying with the zipper to pull it up until he heard a faint giggle. Well, this was picture perfect. Wufei was at the table staring at Duo as if the boy was crazy. Quatre had a faint red color to his cheeks and was trying to stifle his smile. Trowa merely had his brow raised with his arms folded at he leans against the table and Sakura was at the table with a small cup of tea, giggling.

"I tried calling, but you were asleep. Do you need my help Duo-kun?" "Ah- ha- Sakura!" "Duo-kun?" Wufei said with a strange look. She stood quickly from her seat, her smile bright as her curls of raven hair moved with her. She was wearing a cream, white sweater, and a pair of jeans. A girl of simple means, she wasn't the high-class style Relena possessed. Duo found comfort in her differences from that woman. "I called you, but Quatre said you were asleep so I thought I'd come over and surprise you, you are surprised, ne?" The American delivered her a slow smile, "Yeah, this week has been full of surprises." Sakura's delicate fingers pulled a neon folded slip of paper from her tight jean pocket, unfolding the note to hold it up to Duo, "I won the lucky number at Fong's market. You see this coupon gives me two free drinks at the teashop. I'm inviting you with me." "Sakura I don't think-" Duo stopped dead in his sentence as Heero entered the kitchen, his face an emotionless, blank façade as he passed Duo. I gotta get my mind off Heero.

"Yeah! Sure, it's a date Sakura! Let me get on a shirt and we'll go."

"This is pretty Duo! Ne?" "Ah! It would be even prettier on you Sakura. Say, Go on in and try it on! Model it, I can spare a few yen!" "Wah? Really!? Sugoi!"

Duo pushed open the shop door, stepping inside as Sakura rushed in to try the dress on. He always was a flirt. It couldn't be helped, he found it far more profitable to gain another's trust and break it than to be enemies to begin with. That is where his charisma came into benefit he could find out anything with simply a conversation.

Sakura pushed aside the curtains from the dressing booth, her hand delicately to her hip as she posed a simple, blue dress that carried sketched of turquoise flowers. It was a plain dress, but there was beauty in the simplicity. It was that of one restricted to a small budget, the dress was much cheaper than he'd expected. But no amount of money could have added up to the smile that she brought to her lips. Happiness that he inflicted. Duo smiled as they walked down the street, her hand lightly holding to his. She was the calm sort, her eyes gazing ahead as her smile was faint. She changed so much, at times she seemed as the wild sex vixen, then the next like a child, and now she had a calm elegance. If only.. I could inflict those emotions in Heero. I would never be able to walk the streets holding his hand. I would never be able to laugh with him, as I'd pose a new jacket. Duo squeezed tightly to Sakura's hand. This is so perfect.. if only I could want this..

They both were finally at the shop. Sakura had picked a booth seat by the large window that stared out to the busy streets. The seats were a faint rose color. Sakura had her fingers lightly gripping her teacup as her eyes remained to Duo's. "Thank you.. for the dress Duo.." Duo waved a hand, his usual smile breaking to his face, "It's no bother, isn't it customary for a guy to buy a girl something on their date after all?" Sakura laughed lightly, taking a healthy swallow of her tea, "You're so cute Duo!" She tipped her head to the side, smiling softly as her hand lifted to her cheek, "Duo- tell me about your friends." The American wrinkled up his face, releasing a sigh before he gained a triumphant smile, "There's Wu-man, Trowa, Quatre and- Heero." He folded his arms pretending to be very stern, turning up his nose like Wufei, "I am Wufei. I fight for justice and honor. Wufei is all mighty and believe in the ways of war as an art form. Hmph, and only through discipline and the clash of the blade can true peace be formed. War is unavoidable. Nani? There's liquor in the fridge? Well.. I will *sample* a few bottles.. that one too." Sakura burst into a fit of laughter as Duo began his imitations. He suddenly began to make a sweet gentle face, patting his face as he imitates a shojou boys features, "I am Quatre! Gomen, am I interrupting something? Oh Trowa! It's you, my love, my knight come off to take me, his beautiful princess. All I want is for everyone to just get along, so everything can be oh so perfect! A world that my love for Trowa can flourish in!" The violet-eyed boy lowered his head, letting his hair fall into his eyes, as he looks calm and passive, "...Trowa..."

Sakura placed a hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter as the waitresses were giving Duo strange looks. "What about Heero?" Sakura asked with a bright smile. Duo shifted uneasily, but delve into the imitation despite his discomfort. He tried to feign a cold look to his gaze, a look that didn't suit Duo, and actually looked scary for him to even attempt. He turned down his smile, leaving his face blank and void, his voice monotonous. "This is pointless, force me to continue this and I will kill you.." At this imitation however, Sakura did not laugh, for a moment it would seem that she thought he was serious, only breaking a smile ten seconds afterwards. She quickly finished her tea before speaking, "Your friend Heero doesn't express much. Last night he even seemed violent, I could see it in his eyes." Duo relaxed into his seat, his demeanor shifting back to the familiar American.

"Ch' tell me about it. The guy is ice and stone, cold and hard! I have rarely seen him crack a smile and when he does it's over something horrible," Duo complained. "He seems very militant to me, why would you associate with him?" "Ah, well it's hard to explain. Let's just say that we've helped each other out in the past." "Mm hm. He'd actually be cute if he ever smiled." "Trust me you don't want to see this guy smile." "You seem like you know him pretty well. You both must be close. I'm jealous."

Duo smiled lightly, pushing his plate of cake over to Sakura for her to sample. "There is so much we know of each other, and yet so little. It's hard to describe what we are. Partners striving for the same goal," Duo explained as he lifted the fork, scooping up a small bite and gently reaching the fork to her lips. Sakura opened her mouth slowly, taking the bite with a sweet grace. Her eyes widened as she lightly chewed on the cake, "Duo! You told me on L2 that you worked with scrap metal. I found something earlier that I thought I'd bring to you.." Sakura rummaged her hand lightly through her white purse, her hand lifting out a piece of a gnarled, metallic lump. Duo's eyes studied the lump. He knew this material. Gundanium Alloy..
