~*Summary of CCS Movie 1*~

At the beginning of the movie, Sakura and Syaoran are trying to capture the Arrow Card. Using Windy, Sakura succeeds in sealing and capturing the Arrow.

Later on that night, you see Sakura sleeping, but the Clow Book on her desk is glowing. Next, there is a vision of Sakura walking on rippling water. Sakura wonders where she is, and then strange ribbon-like strands rise out of the water and wrap around Sakura, pulling her under. However, Sakura realises that she can breathe. Suddenly a voice speaks - "Water... is the thing that flows" - Sakura is still sinking, and then the voice repeats again. Then she wakes up, and realises that it was all a dream.

Next day at school, the teacher is handing out the report cards, and Sakura is relieved that her marks are ok. When Sakura asks how Tomoyo went, Tomoyo replies "same as usual". This means, of course, that Tomoyo went very well.

Syaoran is very apprehensive, but Meiling is overconfident and cocky. Just as Sakura asks Tomoyo what she is doing for the holidays, they are interupted by Meiling going balistic and yelling - "Why didnt I get a perfect score?!" - The teacher tells her that her Japanese skills aren't very good yet. Syaoran waits until he reaches his seat before peeping at his card and then sighs in relief. He mutters to himself - "Good...now I can show this to my..." - before Sakura turns around and he quickly closes his report card.

Out of school, Sakura congratualates Tomoyo for getting such a good report card, and Tomoyo replies that it was nothing, really. At Twin Bells, Sakura picks out a notebook and goes up to the cashier to buy it. The cashier pulls out a box with a slot in it and says that it was a draw for a grand prize to Hong Kong. Sakura puts her hand in the box, and you see a blue glow, and a sort of......glowing ball floats up to her hand. Sakura pulls her hand out, thinking she got another entry prize, but instead Maki (the shop owner) says she has won the grand prize!

At home, Kero is very excited and Sakura mentions that she has never traveled abroad. Kero then says that he hasnt been to Hong Kong in a long time, not since he went with Clow Reed. Sakura asks if the Clow Cards have ever been to Hong Kong, and Kero says of course...after all, wasn't Clow Reed the once who created them? Sakura wonders what Hong Kong is like, and then Kero assures her that he'll show her all the best places. He then remembers that Sakura's dad has to go on a business trip for the vacation.

Sakura is then sitting at the table with Touya and her father. He says that Sakura should go, even if he can't. Instead, Touya could take her instead - that is, if Touya would give up his part time job. Touya agrees, but only if he can eat 5 times a day in Hong Kong. Fujitaka then says that since Tomoyo is going, Yukito could go too. Sakura gets very happy at this.

At the airport, Sakura is a little surprised that Tomoyo is taping her (like always) and comments that she has never been on a plane before. Tomoyo declares that she would call this video - "Sakura's trip to Hong Kong!" - and that she brought heaps of outfits for Sakura. At the boarding gate, Touya whispers to Sakura that she has to take off her shoes when she boards the plane. Poor, unsuspecting Sakura does this, but then a steward tells her that she didnt have to. Sakura looks ready to kill Touya....but then Kero pokes his head out of her bag and whines if they're there yet. Quickly Sakura runs to her seat. Yukito then comes by and thanks her for inviting him to Hong Kong. He then mentions that this is his first time abroad, too.

When they arrive at the hotel, Sakura is really excited and twirls around the room, throwing her purse around and forgetting that Kero is still in it (hehe). Kero looks out the window and then comments that Hong Kong has changed alot.

The next scene shows Sakura, Tomoyo, Touya and Yukito on a ferry to the mainland. Touya has fun teasing Sakura, and Tomoyo is still faithfully videotaping. In downtown Hong Kong they stop for ice cream, and Kero says that the feeling of magic hasnt changed since he was last here. Then he finishes Sakura's ice cream for her and happily decides that it was delicious. Then Kero says that is was strange that Sakura won this trip to Hong Kong, considering how bad she was at winning stuff. Just as Sakura is getting mad, Kero points out that Clow Reed said that there was no such thing as coincidence, and that there must be a reason that she won. Then he says - "just kidding!" - and claims that he just needed to get used to this place again. Overhead, two white birds land on the telephone wire and watch them.

That night Sakura is having the same dream as before, except this time she notices the two birds from earlier are there. Then, turning, she sees a figure of a woman, and reaches out, but wakes up. Sakura then wonders who the strange woman is.

After eating at a resteraunt (I wont go into detail) the group head to bird street, where many birds are sold. Sakura stops and says she feels something watching her. Kero comments that it doesn't feel like a Clow Card..........and then they see those two white (spooky) birds again. The birds then fly away and Sakura chases them, turning her key into a staff and using the Jump card to look for them. Back on the ground, amongst old brokendown buildings, Sakura notices an old well and walks over to look. Then she becomes hypnotised by a vision of the woman again, and is about to step out into the well, when Syaoran suddenly appears and yells at her to snap out of it. Sakura then accidently falls into the well (So co-ordinated, isn't she?)

Back in bird street you see Tomoyo still searching for Sakura, until she bumps into Meiling, who is also looking for Syaoran. When she sees Kero, Meiling asks him how he got past quarantine.....but then Sakura and Syaoran appear, and everyone rushes over. Touya demands to know where Sakura was, and she replies that she fell into a well. Touya had been very worried.

The next scene is at Syaoran's house, and Sakura and Tomoyo have both changed into these pretty chinese dresses. Then, suddenly, 4 beautiful girls rush in, and you notice that they have hair just like Syaoran's. When they see Sakura and Tomoyo, they start to fawning over them - hugging them almost to death. Sakura and Tomoyo have no idea who they are. Luckily, Touya and Yukito suddenly appear dressed in male chinese clothes, and the 4 girls switch their full attention to them. Then Syaoran walks in with tea............he isn't looking too pleased with the whole situation.

Tomoyo asks him who the girls are and Meiling tells her that they are Syaoran's sisters. Tomoyo says they're cheerful. Kero says they're weird (lol). The door suddenly opens, and a beautiful woman in a white dress sweeps in. Syaoran and his sisters stand to attention. She then bows to Yukito and Touya and says she is pleased to meet them. Sakura comments that she's got to be Syaoran's mother - she looks so young and pretty. Kero mutters that she looks like the leader of the monsters.

Sakura introduces herself and thanks her for the pretty dress. Syaoran's mother bends down and says she senses strong power, and looks at Sakura's bag. She than asks if Sakura has Clow Cards. Sakura nods. Syaoran's mother comments that strong powers bring trouble, especially in Hong Kong. Then she invites them to stay the night. Syaoran's sisters are still all over the boys, and cheer when they hear this. Then she turns to Syaoran and asks for his report card..........

In the room where Sakura and Tomoyo are staying, Kero yawns and announces that he's really tired. Tomoyo says that Syaoran's mother is really beautiful, and Sakura says she has a mysterious aura about her. Kero points out that she the descendant of Clow Reed, therefore she must have very strong power. Tomoyo asks if Clow Reed was a magician, and Kero answers that he was the most powerful, but he had many enemies. Tomoyo then wishes that she had brought more outfits for Sakura and asks her to change back into her chinese dress when they get back to the hotel. You can see Kero mumbling in his sleep ("I can't eat any more!") and then the girls say good night and go to sleep.

Sakura can't sleep however. She keeps on remembering Ieran's words (Syaoran's mother.) Sakura has that weird dream again, except this time she is in the water and looking up at the strange woman. The woman says - "I have been waiting for you for a long time...." - and the ribbons grab Sakura and pull her up. Sakura stuggles but she can't break loose. The woman comes towards Sakura really fast and Sakura screams and wakes up. She looks at her arm and finds a red mark where the ribbon grabbed her. Kero tells her it wasn't a normal dream. Then there is a knock at the door, and Ieran comes in.

Next scene, Sakura and Ieran are standing outside. Ieran pulls out a fan and speaks some words, causing them both to be standing on a platform (with the same symblos as Syaoran's lasin board.) Ieran tells Sakura that she came to Hong Kong because someone called her there - the woman in her dream. Ieran warns Sakura that the worst isn't over yet, and that with powers like Sakura's, it was very easy to contact evil spirits. She says however, that Sakura has some guidence - her dream. It holds both a problem and a solution. Ieran comforts Sakura by saying she's sure that Sakura will find the solution.

The next day everyone is saying goodbye, and Meilin is surprised that they stayed the night, and grumbles that she should have, too. Sakura thanks Ieran, and Ieran kisses her on the cheek. Syaoran is horrified. Touya calls to Sakura that they have to go, and Ieran warns Sakura to watch out for water. In downtown Hong Kong, Meiling is giving everyone a tour, when Kero pops out of Sakura's bag and tells her that she won the trip for a reason, not a coincidence. Then they wonder if the woman in her dream let her win, and if so, why?

Meiling is annoyed and asks Syaoran why they have to show Sakura around. Syaoran says they are on his mother's orders, because Sakura was in danger. Meanwhile, Sakura is looking at some hair ornaments, and thinks to herself that the woman in the dream wore pretty hair decorations, too. Yukito notices that Sakura has her eye on a particular one, and goes and buys it for her. Syaoran becomes ver jealous at this, but then he notices those two white birds again. Sakura sees them at the same time he does. Sakura runs after them, with Touya, Yukito and Syaoran running after her.

Sakura summones her wand, and Kero warns her that they were not normal birds. Eventually they end up at an antique shop. Kero and Sakura venture inside, but there is nobody there. Then they heard a sound of water-coming from an old dusty book. The book has a picture of a well on it, and sitting on the well is the woman from Sakura's dream. The woman calls - "Come here," - and Sakura is placed in a dream-like trance. Kero tries to stop her, but Sakura opens the book.

Tomoyo, Meiling, Touya, Yukito and Syaoran find her just as she opens it. Then suddenly a light appears, and Sakura drops the book, causing the store to flood. Somehow, just like in Sakura's dream, she can breathe underwater. She swims to the suface - Kero pops out of her bag and she asks him if they were in her dream world. Kero says no, this is not a dream. Madoushi (the woman) then tells them that this is the place that she created with her magic for her own purposes. She then yells - "you're not him!" - and she commands Sakura to come to her.

The waves start to swirl and the woman demands why Sakura is here instead of 'him'. Sakura summons fly and soars up on her cane. Then Madoushi asks why Sakura has Clow Cards, and sends out a wave towards Sakura, but Syaoran freezes it. Syaoran asks Sakura where everyone went, and Madoushi says not to bother looking for them because she has already captured them. You then see 4 large bubbles with the others sleeping inside them. Madoushi asks - "Where is Clow Reed? I called him but he didnt come - instead you are here." - Syaoran shouts to Sakura to go, he will distract her, but by then Madoushi is mad, and starts to throw waves at them. So Syaoran calls the Storm Card and directs the storm into a whirlwind around Madoushi. Sakura calls the Sword Card to cut open the bubbles and saves Tomoyo first.

Kero yells at her to hurry up and fly Tomoyo to safety, so Sakura does. Syaoran tries to set Meiling free, but he can't. Madoushi manages to divert the storm with her ribbons - Sakura flies towards Madoushi and Syaoran and tries to save him, but the woman puts him in a bubble too, and Kero yells that they'll have to go and come back later. Sakura unhappily flies back to Tomoyo and holds onto her as they escape - the waves right on their tail.

Back at the antique shop, they cant find the book, Kero can't even sense it, and Sakura is really upset. Then, all of a sudden Kero remembers who she is - just as the shop owner comes bustling in and asks what would they like to buy?

Back at the hotel, Kero explains that Madoushi was a fortune teller in Hong Kong - she used water to tell people fortunes. But the Clow Reed came to Hong Kong and told predictions in his spare time, and every single one came true. So Madoushi's business went down, and she challenged him to fights all the time. Then Kero says that the book was the thing that has kept her alive for so long. It seems that Madoushi didnt even know that she was dead, so she must have hated Clow Reed very much.

Kero then says that the purpose of the spell is to enclose Clow Reed in the book instead of her. Tomoyo comments - "Clow Reed, or anyone else holding the Clow Cards." - Sakura asks Kero how can they get back the others, and Kero says there must be a doorway, but he can't feel it anywhere near. Sakura then remembers the picture of the well on the book, and the well which she almost fell in. Kero says that it was good that Sakura figured it out, and Tomoyo reminds Sakura to wear one of her outfits.

That night Sakura, Tomoyo and Kero are at the well - Sakura wearing a pink outfit with wings. Suddenly a pink barrier appears around the well. Sakura asks how to break it, and Kero yells she can't - not with her limited abilities. Then, suddenly Ieran appears, and tells them to stand back. Sakura asks how she knew, and Ieran tells them that she couldnt feel Syaoran's spirit anymore. Ieran then uses her fan to brean through the barrier, and Sakura goes through - Tomoyo wishes her good luck. Once inside, Sakura and Kero float - Sakura asks where they are and Kero says that they are in a dimension warp - if they picked the wrong door they could be trapped forever.

Sakura concentrates and picks the right door. They appear in a strange old building, but then they aee those two birds again and chase after them. They end up in bird street, and Kero mentions that this place could have lots of different areas. As they run along, Kero notices the feeling of power getting stronger. Then they arrive - and Madoushi is there. She asks them why they came back, and Sakura demands that she let the others go. The woman says she can't unless they get her Clow Reed. Kero yells that they can't get Clow Reed because.........but Madoushi interupts and says shes waiting for him. Sakura notices that the woman sounded funny when she talked about Clow Reed. Kero yells at Madoushi to listen to the whole story, but then the walls and ceiling start to cave in and Madoushi starts to glow. She says that this is their last chance - and Kero tells her that Clow Reed is gone! Madoushi says if that is so, then they must all die!

Back at the well, Tomoyo is worrying about Sakura, and Ieran comforts her. All at once, the well seems to explode, and Madoushi flies up into the sky, asking where he is. Sakura flies up after her, only to dodge the water that Madoushi is throwing at her. Sakura tries to explain, but at the same time she has to try and stay in the air. Kero yells that they wont win over her if they keep running. Then one of Madoushi's ribbons grab Sakura, and holds her over a building. Madoushi demands Sakura to tell her where Clow Reed is. Sakura tells her he is dead.

Madoushi screams that she is a liar, but Sakura states that it is true. Madoushi says to herself that it can't be true, and then starts a tidal wave inside the building, filling it with water and washing Sakura away. Madoushi becomes sad, and says that she had been waiting for him for so long, and that she had used all her power to find him.....and then a single tear falls into the water.

The tear floats towards Sakura, and inside it she sees what really happened between Clow Reed and Madoushi. They were standing at the well, and Madoushi said "I can't accept this..." and Clow Reed replies "Is it your birthday today?" and then says that if she doesn't want to keep it, she can just throw it away. It was a beautiful hair ornament. Sakura says to herself that she knew that Madoushi loved Clow Reed. Then that voice spoke again. "Water......is the thing that flows...." Sakura exclaimes - "Thats right!" - and calls upon the Arrow Card, which cuts the ribbons from the woman and causes part of the building collapse, letting the water cascade out of the building.

Sakura, free once again, walks towards Madoushi, looking concerned and sad. Sakura tells Madoushi that it is hard to believe that someone you love is gone, and starts to cry. Madoushi asks her if Clow Reed really is dead, and Sakura nods. Snow suddenly starts to appear, and Madoushi begins to fade into the snow, saying that she waited so long because she wanted to tell him her true feelings......and then she had gone. Madoushi's hair ribbon lies on the ground, and then that voice said again - "Water....is the thing that flows......" - and then the rest of the group appear at the top of the building.

The next morning on the ferry Tomoyo reminds Sakura that they have to go back to Japan tomorrow, and Kero says that the big fight yesterday brought big trouble for them all. Sakura explaines that Madoushi just wanted to tell Clow Reed how she really felt. Sakura then looks over at Yukito and thinks to herself that she hopes that she will be able to tell Yukito soon - her own true feelings. Tomoyo then comments that she hopes that they come back to Hong Kong soon.

THE END.
