"talking" **thoughts** <> _emphasis_ ////memories//// #############################################################2############### Ryuujin looked out apprehensivly into the night. He closed his eyes in age old worry as he felt the pangs in his heart and soul. In his mind's eye, he could visualize the battle the Outer Senshi were having with the grotesque monster that he associated with Shadow. He recalled their species being of the planet Takyan, the tenth planet, long knocked out of it's orbit by Queen Serenity. They all had the same name, the name of their species: Phantom. He supressed the instinct to go to his Suna-chan tightly, even when she was gasping for air and on the brink of losing consiousness and life. **They have to learn their enemy, you can't fight all their battles for them, it's the only way they'll learn,** he told himself. Still, no matter how hard he tried, he could not resist soothing her emotionaly through their bond almost imperceptively. **The least I can do now, love. Just wait.** He winced visibly as he felt the combined pain of all of the Outer Senshi's wounds. Clenched tightly in his right hand was his Elemental Crystal, glowing brightly as they helped him 'see' the fight. Most of him yearned with all it's being to go help them, his students, but a small, logical part of him knew the risks. If Shampoo, Akane, Ukyo, or Kodachi caught him sneaking out - which was a definate when he lived with Nabiki - he would endanger not only himself, but the Senshi. With their powers, the Senshi could defeat the four girls with no trouble, but it was strictly against their moral code to attack humans. His mood brightened considerably when the Inners showed, shortly followed by Tuxedo Mask. The ten of them, working together, Phantom was defeated easily, but that did not stop his worries. If the powerful Outer Senshi couldn't defeat a single Phantom together, then it was very doubtdul that the Inners could stand up against a furious assult. This battle had shown him that he needed to get rid of Ranma's fiancee problems and his enemy problems as soon as possible if he wished to aide the Senshi before they were wiped out. And so, having reached this decision, Ryuujin picked up the phone and began to make phone calls. ***** "You're all wondering at what I called you all here for, am I right?" The question rang throughout the room, and everyone gathered in the Tendo dojo answered affirmative. Ryuujin surveyed over his crowd, and said, "I have called you all here, fiancees, enemies, friends and family alike, for one purpose, and one purpose only." His gaze passed over Akane, Ukyo, Shampoo, Kodachi, Kuno, Mousse, Ryouga, Happosai, Cologne, Soun, Nabiki, Kasumi, Genma, and Nodoka, all gazing inquiringly at him. They were all seated inside the dojo, he having taken position at the front. It had taken him an hour to gather them all here, even having locked on to Ryouga's signature and teleporting him. "What that, Airen?" Shampoo asked, cocking her head at an angle, smiling slightly. "To settle this fiancee buisness," he answered immediatly, ignoring the Chinese Amazon's affectionate name. As he expected, Soun and Genma leaped up, grabbed each other, and began to dance wildly, singing, "Hurray! The schools will finally be joined!" Akane immediatly protested, blushing, "No way! Who's want to marry _that_ jerk?" "I'm glad you think so," Ryuujin nodded at her. "Because I feel the exact same way." Silence reigned for a moment, a precious moment, before Shampoo, Kodachi, and Ukyo began rejoicing, Soun and Genma stopped dancing, Cologne smiled, Mousse, Ryouga, and Kunou got mad, and Happosai snarled in protest. "How DARE you not pick Akane!!" Ryouga snarled. "How DARE you not pick me!!" Akane echoed his statement, her mallet appearing in her hands. "Saotome, what is the meaning of this?" asked Soun, turning to Genma. "You MUST!! It is a matter of honor!!" Genma was too busy yelling at Ranma to notice. "How could you reject the most beautiful of all Goddesses, the gracious Akane Tendo? Truely, you are most barbaric not to see the flower that is before you," Kuno sighed. "Aiya! Airen not choose Violent Pervert boy!! Shampoo so happy!!" exclaimed Shampoo. "Stay away from my Shampoo!!!!!!!!" Mousse crowed loudly. "Ran-chan, I knew you could never love her!!" Ukyo jumped up and down. "Oh ho ho ho ho ho!!!! Ranma-sama, what a noble and intelligent decision you have made! Now that you are free of Akane Tendo's vile clutches, we can finally be together, my love~!!!" Kodachi sing-songed, her ribbon twirling madly, releasing several black rose petals. "I new you'd come around, son-in-law." Cologne cackled. "What do ya mean? Who could resist these babies?" Hapoosai asked, suddenly latched on like a leech to Akane's chest. All these, plus the sound of Happosai getting punted into LEO (low earth orbit) echoed through the entire district. However, Ryuujin was nothing if not calm. He had learned how to control his emotions at an early stage, and if a villan couldn't make him loose his cool, there was no way a few humans and a wrinkled troll could. He sighed and leaned back to rest as the tirade continued on and on and on and on an- "ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he hollered. He realized with a start his loss of composure, and wondered not for the first time how much of Ranma he had in him, "That's enough." "My son, you MUST marry Akane," Nodoka sighed. "It is a matter of honor, and a man is nothing without honor." Ryuujin turned his steely gaze on her and answered, "It always comes down to that, doesn't it? Whenever you want me to do something, you always bring up that STUPID promise that I had nothing to do with! If you have problems with my manhood and my honor, it's Gen- er, Pops' fault! He was the one who raised me. Besides, he spends all his time as a panda, and has no honor. Why aren't you saying that to him? I have more honor in my pinky finger than he has in his whole body!!!!" "Ranma," Kasumi started in a disaproving tone. "It isn't polite to shout at your own mother like that." Ryuujin spun around to face her, anger etched on his face, but found that he could not raise his voice against the gentlist of the Tendo daughters, so settled by saying, "Polite or not, Kasumi, it's the truth." "Why don't you get to the point, Saotome," Nabiki said sharply. "You're wasting my time." "Alright," Ryuujin sighed. He leaned back in sudden fatigue. "I have decided to leave Nermia." "WHAT!?!" ############################################################################# To be continued in Part 6. ~~~~~Jade Hunter~~~~~
