Master of Mosquiton/Sorcerer Hunters Crossover
Part 1
Ribeye walked into the pyramid unafraid. He was a powerful sorcerer after all, and even though the magic presence inside it was powerful, it was also ancient. Ribeye felt he could easily retrieved the O-part and leave without difficulty. He chuckled. Ribeye had been hired by an old man to take the O-part from the pyramid. He had been promised jewels and riches-which Ribeye had plenty of anyway, but agreed to the old man's wishes anyway. This O-part held the key to immortality. That was a greater treasure anyway, and one that Ribeye didn't have yet.
Ribeye turned the corner and walked into a room. His eyes averted to the green glow that matched his shaggy, short hair. "This must be the O-part." He thought aloud. "This is too simple. The old man, Rasputin, could've wheeled his chair in and taken it himself." His arrogance forbade him to acknowledge that there could possibly be a trap and he began to climb the tapered walls to the O-part. He grabbed the handle with his right hand and that's when the mummies eyes began to glow…
Shanghai, 192X…
Inaho read on, but was getting tired and her great aunt's book of sorcery was kinda boring. The O-part was gone, and no pyramids had suddenly sprouted from the ground. She had to find the O-part. She had to; or else she would shrivel up and die an old hag. Tears began to flood her eyes when she stumbled upon a passage about time travel. Just then the crosses on her ears glowed. "It's somewhere in time. That's where the O-part is. I have to get it! There is a chance after all!" She jumped up, throwing the book up in the air and running down the steps of her apartment to the basement. "Mosqui, oh, Mosqui!" She shouted lightheartedly. Then she grumbled "Come on, Mosqui where are you?" She turned too fast and fell right on her ass, whimpering at the sudden jolt of pain. She stood up, forgetting her fall and called out again, "Mosqui!"
"What is it now?" The tall, white haired vampire asked irritably. He was holding a wrench that looked very out of place for a respectable vampire in a black cloak. "Do you want me to fix the plumbing or what?"
"Forget the plumbing. We have to get the O-part! It has gone thru time and we have to get it."
Mosquiton sighed. Not the O-part again. "You aren't seriously considering going thru time, are you? That is impossible."
"No it's not. My great aunt's book of sorcery says it isn't." She crossed her arms, her shoulder length red hair bounced on her shoulders. "Go thru time and get it for me." Inaho demanded.
"No." Mosquiton said quickly.
"What do you mean no?" Inaho whined.
"No-the opposite of yes. It means I am definitely absolutely not going thru time to get you the O-part."
Then she burst out balling. "WAH! All I want is to be young and beautiful and stay with you forever. I thought that is what you wanted too, to be with me, but I see that I just don't mena that much to you."
"Inaho, stop crying. Don't do this again." Mosquiton's teeth clenched. He couldn't stand to se her cry.
Inaho went on. "You promised me two years ago you would help me get the O-part that my family has been searching for for years. I trusted you not to break your promise. Is that what you are going to do, Mosqui? Would you break your promise to me after all we been thru?"
He looked up at the sky and whispered. "Why? Why me?" Then hung his head in defeat. "Fine. All right already. We'll go in time and find the O-part."
"YIPPEE!!!" She jumped over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "You won't be disappointed, Mosqui, I promise. I will have the O-part and I can stay a perky, energetic, beautiful 17 forever and ever by your side. Won't that be great, Mosqui?"
"I can hardly contain my joy." He said thru gritted teeth.
Spooner Continent…
Big Mama stood before her great hope, the Sorcerer Hunters, and spoke of their next assignment. "The O-part is powerful. The Star Lords, gods that wanted to feed off the Earth, created it. The O-part is their treasure and promises immortality. It is enclosed in a pyramid…the largest pyramid built on the earth ever. Now that pyramid has erected itself on Spooner."
"So, uh, let me guess. Our assignment is to get into the pyramid and get the O-part. That doesn't seem too hard." Carrot said with confidence.
"Nothing that has to do with magic is ever that easy, Carrot." Tira reminded him.
"Yes, Darling. You can be such an idiot sometimes." Chocolate added.
Big Mama replied, "Be careful, hunters, other sorcerers have already attempted to ensnare it. Three have tried and failed, but another, Ribeye, was able to get inside. There are rumors that all of these sorcerers were hired by an unknown employer to retrieve the O-part from the pyramid."
"Don't worry, Big Mama." Gateau said. "No sorcerer is going to live forever while I still live and breathe."
Big Mama smiled and then she disappeared.
Back in Shanghai 192X
"I feel really stupid. This is not going to work." Mosquiton moaned. He, Inaho and his two elemental pets, Honoo and Yuki, sat in a circle. Inaho's book lay open out in front of her at a spell.
"Does Mama Inaho know what she's doing?" Honoo whispered to his master.
"I heard that, Honoo! I know exactly what I am doing. I made Mosqui alive, didn't I? I can travel thru time too." She said that with such conviction that Mosquiton didn't dare challenge her. He just smiled uneasily and managed a chuckle. "Now hold hands everybody and concentrate."
Yuki touched Honoo's hand and drew away. "That's hot, ow."
"You're too cold." Honoo remarked, rubbing his hands together. Inaho fought off a chill from Yuki's hands.
"I DON'T SEE EVERYONE CONCENTRATING. NOW CONCENTRATE!"
"Yes, Mama Inaho." Yuki and Honoo said in unison.
"How many times do I have to tell you that I am not your mother? NOW CONCENTRATE!"
It was a surprise to Inaho most of all when a whirlwind arose from her book. She had been reciting the chants in her head, hoping to get them right the first time she said them aloud, but she learned she didn't have to say them aloud to work the spell. The wind turned into a strange blue color as it slowly began to pick each one of them off the carpet and into its storm. Mosquiton was the first to break concentration and screamed at the top of his lungs. Inaho hit him hard in the chest. "If you screw this up, Alucard Von Mosquiton, I will kill you."
"You're going to kill me again. I am so scared." He mocked her. But soon in a flash all four of them found themselves traveling thru a portal, screaming like fools the whole way thru and landing painfully on concrete in another time.
Inaho had been the last to go thru and as usual landed right on her undead vampire. Despite his cries of agony, Inaho ignored him and looked around. "Where are we? Did we go back in time?"
"This doesn't look like any time I've ever seen." Honoo said while wiping the dust off his arm. Yuki stood gracefully beside him. Her green eyes glowing.
"I don't think we went back, Mama Inaho. I think we went into the future." Yuki clarified.
"The future?" Inaho voiced. She looked around. So many people in the town wore old, tattered clothing. There were no electrical appliances or any inclination that this was indeed the future as Yuki claimed. Then all thought rushed away from her head when she saw it, "THE PYRAMID. WE'RE HERE!" She raced as fast as she could to the pyramid as Mosquiton stood up and stood beside his pets.
"Why do you put up with her, Master? She has done nothing but get us in trouble for years. She's even worse than those of her family before her."
"Honoo, she's not so bad. Sure she's selfish and whiny and can't cook or clean and she shops too much and she's demanding and clumsy, but she's got her good traits too." Mosquiton answered.
"Like what?" asked Yuki.
"Uh…I'll think of something." Mosquiton left them to follow Inaho.
Yuki and Honoo both sighed. "The Master Mosquiton has really fallen for this one, hasn't he Honoo?"
"Maybe she'll die in an avalanche or something." Honoo said wishfully.
Marron Glace squinted his eyes at the protruding sun from behind the pyramid's temple. "The only opening seems to be up there. There are no guards or anything. It seems too easy."
"I agree. We can't possibly just walk in. It has to be a trap. I know. Let's send Carrot in."
Carrot narrowed his eyebrows at Gateau's suggestion. "Forget it, Gateau. I think you should go in. You won't be missed much if something happens to you."
"I'll pummel you for that."
Marron stepped in. "Carrot, Gateau, stop this at once."
"Yeah you two." Tira added. "We are here to get the O-part, or have your tiny minds forgotten our assignment already?"
Chocolate had already transformed and hopped up to the entrance. It was open and, as Marron said, unguarded. She snapped her garrote inside but no alarms went off and no walls came in. it was quiet. "Marron, can you sense any magic here?"
"No. I cannot."
"Then there's nothing to stop us form going in." Chocolate put away her garrote and walked thru the door. Tira whimpered, unsure if she should follow, but knowing that she couldn't just leave her sister to go in alone. She entered the pyramid too.
From the bottom of the hill, Inaho watched the strangers go in. "Who are they and what are they doing in MY pyramid?" She grabbed Mosqiton's collar and started to shake him. "What if they get the O-part first???"
"Oh well, we tried. I guess we will just have to go home, won't we?"
"No way, Coffin breath. We are going in and we are getting that O-part right now! I want to live forever!" She stopped shaking him and hit the ground. Mosquiton grew serious.
"Inaho, there's nothing wrong with growing old and dying. It's natural in all human existence. I wish you would understand that."
"So I hear from the immortal one…"
"If you only knew what it was like to be immortal I'm sure you would give up looking for this stupid O-part."
"The O-part is not stupid and I don’t' know what it's like to be immortal because I'm not immortal, genius."
"Inaho, immortality brings eternal sadness."
"Only if you're alone. We'll be together forever, Mosqui. You know we will!" He sighed and she stood up then took off into the entrance. Yuki, Honoo, and Mosquiton had no choice but to follow her.
