Why?
I was horribly obsessed with Sailor Mercury.
So, it was inevitable that I would cosplay as her.
Plus, dressing up like a woman is fun.

How it was made
This was our first venture into costume making. For this costume, we used a pattern for a skating outfit. Add on a sailor collar, and tada! The gloves we bought at a Halloween store and added on the blue trim. The blue boot covers were made from scratch. We need a bit of practice in making bows, though.

How it turned out
This costume turned out pretty well, for our first time. It was pretty fun freaking people out with it. I did have one complaint about it though, and that was that it was pretty uncomfortable in the crotch area (for obvious reasons). It is also pretty embarrassing to remember that I actually wore it. Oh well. The sacrifices we make for cosplay.
