Butterick #6698
Why?
I did Syaoran because he's young, fierce, formitable, and part of a really good, really cute anime. He's a character you grow to love. This costume was also done as part of a group cosplay. What can I say, he's an awesome character.
How it was made
This costume was fairly complex. We used Butterick's kimono pattern and altered alot. We didn't get around to the hat or the smaller details, like the bells. This was due to Souken being a lazy prat and not getting around to doing most of it until the day before. (Souken: GOMENASAI!!! I'll finish it all someday. I promise!) Also, the emblem on the front was sewn on crooked.
How it turned out
It turned out good considering it was done in a hurry. I would have liked to get it all done (glares at Souken). I liked the fact that it was warm and flashy, and a fun character to cosplay as. It was very cold that night, and Souken was freezing (she was wearing Tomoyo's school uniform.). So, halfway through the night, she convinced me to switch costumes. That was very interesting to say the least. My co-workers got a good blackmail picture. *sigh*
