Why?
We were going to do a CardCaptor Sakura group for Halloween, and I'm just not into wearing pink, lol. Oshi was going to do Li, so that left me with Tomoyo. She is just so cute!
How it was made
For the skirt, I used McCall's #8382, but that pattern is meant for children, so I had to make a bigger version of the pattern. I don't remember what pattern I used for the shirt though. I had the skirt done long before Halloween, but I completely slacked off on the rest of it. So on Halloween day, I was working on the shirt. I ended up not having enough time to do the cuffs on the sleeves. Here's the lesson for today: Don't put off till tomorrow, what you can do today, especially when you have to wear it tomorrow.
How it turned out
Okay, this is my least favorite costume. It just didn't turn out how I wanted it to. The shirt was way too baggy and the wig looked horrible. That's what I get for slacking off. But I think the worst part of the whole experience was that it was extra cold that night and I was wearing a skirt and tights. I can't tell you how cold I was. Halfway throught the night though, Oshi and I switched costumes. His was far more comfortable. We went to the Mall and to McDonald's, where he worked. His co-workers got a good blackmail photo out that.
