"I'll be there in a minute. I just have to put my notebook away."
Jeri waved to her friends while she walked towards her locker. She stood alone in the school hallway since it was lunch time and everyone was at the cafeteria. The girl with the auburn hair opened her locker to see an envelope with her name on it written in such a nice manner.
"What is this?" Jeri picked up the note and opened it.

"Dude, I'll trade ya my peanut butter sandwich for ya chocolate pudding Kenta." Kazu said waving his sandwich in front of the boy with glasses.
"No way! That thing is like, three days old!"
"Well, it was worth trying." Kazu shrugged his shoulders.
Everyone at the table was laughing at Kazu's failed attempt at getting Kenta's pudding. Nikki saw Jeri enter the cafeteria with a slip of paper in her hands.
"Look, there's Jeri." Nikki said.
"Jeri over here!" Rika called out, waving her arm in the air. Rika's mom had let her change schools so she could be with her friends. Jeri spotted them and walked over.
"Hey Jeri, what's that paper in your hand? Did you get detention or something?" Kazu questioned.
"I found it in my locker," Jeri sat down and a small blush appeared on her face. "It's from my secret admirer."
"Really?! Let me see it." Jeri's friend Mikki, (A/N:the one with the long pig tails I think that's her) grabbed the note and started reading it aloud. It read:
Jeri,
I've watched you from afar, and well I have to say I really like you. It
would make me really happy if you went to the school dance with me next
week. Don't worry, my identity will be revealed to you soon.
Your Secret Admirer
"Aw, how cute! Our little Jeri's got a boyfriend!" Mikki cried out in happiness for her friend.
Henry playfully nugded Takato in the side and whispered, "You're finally making your move on Jeri. I'm proud of you Takato."
"I didn't write that note Henry." Takato whispered back.
"Then who did?"
"I don't know, but I plan to find out."
The bell rang, lunch was over. Everyone went back to class. Takato wasn't paying attention to his teacher's lecture. He was too busy trying to figure out who wrote that note to Jeri. It made him very frustrated.
'Who wrote that note?! Practically everyone in school knows that I have a crush on Jeri, well except for Jeri herself. No one would go after Jeri knowing that I like her. People seem to respect-'
"Takato, can you answer the question?" Takato's thoughts were interrupted by his teacher. Takato looked up.
'Uh-oh, what was the question?! Um, just blurt out an answer.'
"Uh, 22." Everyone bursted into giggles.
"Takato, do you even know what the question is?"
"Um, no maam. I don't." Takato hung his head low.
"I expect you to pay attention next time Takato. Jeri, can you answer the question?"
"Yes. The four states of matter are: Solid, Liquid, Gas, and Plasma."
"Thank you Jeri."
Takato was left with his thoughts once again. 'It can't be Micheal, he likes Casey. I couldn't be Henry, Kazu, or Kenta, they're my friends and they know I like Jeri a lot. They wouldn't do that to me, would they? Urghh! Who wrote that note?!' Throughout the rest of the day, Takato was trying to guess who Jeri's little secret admirer is. Soon school was over. Everyone rushed out, eager to get away from what they call prison.
