Love & Peace
Here's an interesting turn of events. Vash, Milly, and Meryl spead most of their time as hostages in this one! Vash dances (seriously) into the situation and spends the time with the two insurance girls, a few other hostages, and a rich man's daughter. The assailants are asking for the rich father's life as Vash puts the comic relief on thick. We find out Meryl is packing /serious/ heat and we get to see Milly use that kick-arse gun of hers. The no-good sheriff hires ruthless hitmen to solve the problem... only to turn out to be a bad guy along with the rich father!! The father's life is spared (of course, Vash doesn't like when people die) and the sheriff is ripped of all duties. Not to mention we get to hear Vash's famous line! Whee!
Vash: Wanna know something interesting, sheriff? Repeat carefully after me!!
Sheriff: Okay.
Vash: This world is made...!
Sheriff: ... this world is...
Vash: This world is made of...!!
Sheriff: This world is made of...
Vash: *laughs* Made of... LOVE AND PEACE!!
Vash: Hey, look! Something's comin' this way! Look!
Man: Shut up! I told you to stay still!
Vash: All right.
Meryl: How did you figure out that I was armed? I don't remember telling you about it.
Vash: Remember? You helped me in the saloon. *flashback shows the saloon scene* I can recognize the smell of gunpowder and grease instantly.
Vash: You can't look away anymore. It's time you faced the truth about your father. You can no longer remain ignorant of the hopes of the people because of the terrible lie your entire life was built upon.
Vash: You know what, friend? Anyone ever tell you that you lack compassion?
Vash: *whimpering*
Man: What are you crying about?
Vash: Th-Thank you anyway...
Man: Listen, I don't want you thanking me for anything. I just simply got distracted and it threw my aim off, that's all.
Vash: *sniffle, sniffle... whimper*
Man: Can't believe he's really crying...
Man: You hafta die! It would sure make us all happy if ya do.
Vash: .... Sorry, I don't do requests.
Vash: Don't you worry. We'll get you some help, pal.
Man: Am I... gonna die?
Vash: No, it's all right. You're gonna be okay. The bullet passed right through.
