Codes

Passwords, Cheat codes...you should find them all here. There's not actually a huge number - most the earlier games simply require you to start from the beginning and don't allow cheating. However, here's what is available, and hopefully I'll find some more soon. Sometime I'll add downloadable save states, which should make this page a bit more useful.

Pop'n Twinbee 2: Rainbow Bell Adventure:

A simple password which will unlock all the levels on the map for you. This'll only work for the European version as the Japanese one has a save function. Case is important: G k Q R J

Twinbee Yahho! (PSX)

You can access Dark Mode by pausing and entering: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle

Twinbee Taisen Puzzle Dama:

Dark mode can be accessed by doing exactly the same thing (see just above). To this day, I have no idea what Dark Mode actually signifies, though the cheat code definitely does something.

Generic Parodius Cheat:

This definitely has an effect in Sexy & Chatting Parodius...don't know about the first two games though. It gives you a full complement of power ups, but can only be done once per level. At least that's what's claimed - all it's ever done for me is to strip me of all my powerups. Anyway...the ever familiar: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle while paused.

Konami World 2 (Wai Wai World) - SOS Parsley Castle:

At last, some passwords worth seeing! Here are the codes for each level of Konami World 2. First an explanation - you have to stack blocks into a grid to enter the code...as I've transcripted it, the code:

Is written thus: 2,0,1,0,1,4 - each value obviously represents the number of green cubes in each column from left to right.

Here's the whole lot:

Mystical Ninja Land (World 2): 4,0,0,1,0,3

Twinbee 1 (World 3a): 3,0,0,1,1,3

Twinbee 2 (World 3b): 3,0,1,0,0,4

Contra Jungle (World 4): 2,0,1,0,1,4

Upa's Land (World 5): 3,0,1,1,0,3

Puzzle Challenge can't be accessed with a password.

Grand Prix (World 6b): 4,1,0,0,0,3

Getsufuu Maden Underworld (World 7): 3,1,0,0,1,3

Vic Viper vs Ancient Japan (World 8a): 4,1,0,1,0,2

Vic Viper vs the Maoi (World 8b): 3,1,0,1,1,2

Vic Viper vs the Giant Recurring Gradius Boss (World 8c): 3,1,1,0,0,3

Castlevania & a bit of Frogger (World 9): 2,1,1,0,1,3
