Miyu Miyu is a vampire trapped forever in a 13 year old body. She did not have eternal life in the beginning. The Shinma gave it to her so she can deliver to them the Shinma that got away, Larva. Her parents were trapped by the Shinma and shall be held until Miyu completes her task.
Larva Larva is a shinma that escaped them. He came to Miyu and intended to kill her. He did not though. She bit of him and he became her slave.
As punishment for not killing Miyu, Larva was not allowed to show his face or speak.
