 1996 1 movie 80 minutes science fiction/drama SYNOPSIS: The apocalypse didn't come with a BANG. Silently, the amnesia wind swept away all of mankind's knowledge. Thousands of years of human civilization vanished overnight as people forgot how to use the tools of modern civilization-who they were-how to speak-everything. Technology decayed as mankind was instanly reduced to the level of cavemen. Now, a young man explores a nation reduced to barbarism-America. Miraculously re-educated after the cataclysm, he is accompanied by a young woman-somehow spared the oblitertating effects of the amnesia wind. Pursued by a rentless killing machine, they search for thouse responsible for stealing our memories. STORY: 8.9 - If you like unique storylines, this is as unique as they get. CHARACTERS: 6.5 - You meet the characters, and then you dismiss them; they never seem to grow on you. ANIMATION: 7.5 - Considering this anime was made in 1996, the animation is less than ground breaking. ENJOYMENT: 8.3 - A truely unique piece of anime, A WIND NAMED AMNESIA's slow pace is felt painfully; still, it's a solid rental. OVERALL: C (78%)  |
