 1989, 1998 1 Movie 90 minutes fantasy/action/fighting SYNOPSIS: To avenge the woman and friends he loved, one lone ninja must seek out and slay his former comrade...but how do you kill someone who is already dead? A solitary Ninja must find the answer to that very question. From nightmarish battle sequences in which blood soaked clay literally becomes the feeding ground for the dark creatures that lie in wait, to flesh eating stallions and shape changing spders, the action is intense and not for the squeamish in this high action sword and sorcery thriller! STORY: 8.7 - A definitely different type of fantasy anime, without the usual gnomes, dwarves, etc. CHARACTERS: 8 - Although the main character forgot to put his pants on before heading out to battle, he does kick some serious ass. ANIMATION: 8 - Vivid animation. ENJOYMENT: 9 - Plently of gory fight scenes here...a must see for NINJA SCROLL fans! OVERALL: B (84.25%)  |
