Serena is a whiny little brat who can cry over almost any single thing. She is also a real klutz, tripping and falling everywhere and always being late for school. She lives with her dad, mom, and her brother named Sammy. She attends Crossroads (Juuban) Junior High with Amy and Lita. She definitely isn't the smartest or the most coordinated person in the world, but she has the biggest heart. She was also the one who befriended Amy and Lita. Serena's best friend is Molly, a red-headed girl with a New York accent, who is also good friends with the other scouts. Serena likes to spend most of her time not studying, but in the arcade playing games. She also likes to hang out with her friends and go chasing after guys. And she LOVES to eat sweets.

Serena is also the daughter of Queen Serenity in the Silver Millenium, making her Princess Serenity (a.k.a. Princess Serena) of the Moon Kingdom. The great civilization that existed there was later destroyed by Queen Beryl and the Negaverse. Queen Serenity then used her imperial silver crystal to send her dear Princess Serena and her court to Earth, hoping that they will find a better future there. She also trapped the forces of the Negaverse in the crystal in the process. In the 30th century, Serena becomes the Neo Queen Serenity of Crystal Tokyo with Darien as King Endymion, Rini as thier daughter (a.k.a. Small Lady), and the female warriors (Sailor Scouts of the future) who have sworn to protect the Crystal Palace and its kingdom.

Sailor Moon is the most powerful when it comes to weapons and destroying the enemies. She is able to fight the threats from the Negaverse by herself (with a little help from Tuxedo Mask). But when help is needed, more and more scouts were slowly being revived by Luna.
