Yukito was asleep, face soft as he entered the land of dreams. He was content and peaceful. Yue however, was not and he took control of their shared body. Standing in the middle of the room, he gave an inaudible sigh and opened the window, taking flight in the dark, star covered sky.
He came to a familiar house and swooped to a window. Giving a wave, the window opened softly and he enter the room. Closing the window behind himself, he stared down at the sleepy figure, pale eyes narrow as he studied him.
'Touya. This frail, stubborn and ultimately beautiful human. I owe my existence to him.' The ethereal figure settled in the bedroom, blue eyes flickering over the sleeping teenager. 'What is it about this human that won't let my mind rest?' Yue questioned himself, his gaze tracing the lines of Touya's face almost worshipfully. 'Is it because Yukito has such strong feelings for him?” The figure on the bed stirred and Yue drew closer, billowing around his slim body.
Touya sat up, instantly at attention. “Yue, what's wrong? Has something happened to Sakura?” He made to turn on the lamp by the bed.
“Don't,” Yue said, almost desperately. 'Please. Let there be noting more than moonlight between us.'
'What is this feeling I get, looking at him, thinking of him,' Yue thought, though he knew. He'd been alive for centuries and had never before known this feeling, yet he knew what it was. He moved, kneeling beside the bed, making the normally humble motion seem regal.
“You lent me your power before,” he said, and Touya nodded, dark eyes wide. “Will you help me once again?”
“Of course!” Touya said immediately, leaning forward. “Anything to help you and Yuki.” 'Ah, but this has nothing to do with Yuki,' Yue thought, but said nothing. “What is it that you need?” Touya asked and Yue caught him by the shoulders.
“Lend me your warmth?” He made it a question, piercing blue eyes staring into wide chocolate browns. “It is a simple enough request.” He gathered the human to his chest, resting his head on Touya's shoulder. Ah, this is what he wanted. Warmth, not just from anywhere, but from this odd, sobering and captivating human. Strong arms cautiously slid up his back, mindful of the wings. Yue sighed noiselessly, arms tightening.
“Yue,” Touya whispered, voice muffled by Yue's hair, “why...?” Yue shook his head and Touya fell silent.
Outside, the moon shone down, brightly illuminating everything with it's cold light. Inside, the Guardian of the Moon gathered warmth from a very special young man.
