The ZBC wants to get back at the Backdraft Group, and they decide to ask the Blitz Team for help. At the Blitz Team's base, Bit wants to get revenge on the Backdraft, and the Doc gets the ZBC's call and says they'll help. The Doc shows everyone the new Zoid he just got, the Raynos. He says that Jamie will pilot it, but Jamie says that he already has his Pteras. The Doc says that he doesn't anymore, since he sold it to buy the Raynos. Jamie freaks out.

The Raynos can surpass the speed of sound, but Jamie doesn't pilot the Raynos very well during his practice. The Doc tells Jamie that his father was a legendary pilot of the Raynos, named the Wild Eagle, but one day he crashed. Jamie still can't pilot it very well, and the situation looks hopeless. Later on, the Champ Team, using Iron Kongs, is about to battle the Backdraft Group, who are going to use Zabats. The dark judge is about to start the battle when the white judge lands next to it and calls the match illegal. Then the Blitz Team shows up to battle the Backdraft. The ZBC was just using the Champ Team as bait so they could lure the Backdraft out into the open. The Backdraft Group is furious about being tricked.

The battle, on a grassy area, starts and the Zabat and the Blitz Team battle, with Bit in the Zero Jager. Jamie is in the Raynos, but isn't helping much because he can't pilot it right. The Zabats are not getting hit by the Blitz Team's fire, and they drop mobile bombs that hit Leena and Brad. Then Pierce, who is leading the Zabats, shoots down Jamie. He plummets towards the ground while everyone is screaming his name. He remembers how his dad crashed, and then screams and pulls up, becoming the Wild Eagle. The rest of the Blitz Team call him to make sure he's okay and they discover that he has become the Wild Eagle. The Doc is pleased and says that he's glad to see him again.

Pierce is leading the Zabats to attack the Blitz Team again, but then the Raynos flies by at a high speed and knocks out a group of Zabats. Pierce wonders what happened, and the Wild Eagle shoots down the rest of her troops. Then she chases after him, but he flies up through the clouds. She is about to shoot him when he vanishes and flies behind her. He shoots her down and she ejects from her Zabat. Then the Wild Eagle flies towards the Backdraft Whale King and dodges the fire. He gets inside the mouth and starts shooting everything. Alteil ejects the Raynos from the Whale King and flies away, defeated. The Raynos falls, but the Wild Eagle pulls up at the last moment causing the Raynos to hit the ground roughly. Bit uses the Jager's speed to get to him quickly to see if he's okay. The Wild Eagle gets out of the Raynos, says he's invincible, and faints.

Later, Jamie's father, the original Wild Eagle, comes to the Hovercargo to visit Jamie. Bit, Leena, and Brad thought he was dead thanks to the story the Doc told them, so they get angry at him. Then the Doc said he never actually said he died, just that he had an accident in a Raynos. Alteil gets a call saying that he's been demoted, so he won't bother the Blitz Team anymore.
