Sakura couldn't stop thinking about Nikki's ghost story about the ancient shrine walk. While everyone else was peacefully sleeping, Sakura tried her best to sleep but she just couldn't.

Sakura: It's no use, I just can't go to sleep.  (walking down the stairs) I think I'll just talk to Mr. Terrada, tell him I'm spooked about ghosts and I don't want to go in the cave. It's no big deal. Everyone's afraid of something, aren't they? huh?

Li touches her shoulder and freaked her out a bit. The next scene shows them sitting on the beach together.

Sakura: That was you out at the cave today right, Li?

Li: Yeah, I thought I saw something out there. I figured I better go check it out.

Sakura: A clow card?

Li: Naw

Sakura: You don't think it's a gh-gh-gh...

Li: What are you trying to say? Ghost?

Sakura closes her eyes and ears, and moans at the horrible word

Li: Boy, some cardcaptor you are, don't try and tell me you're afraid of going inside that cave tomorrow.

Sakura: No, I..I..

Li: Pathetic Avalon

Sakura: Not!

Li: Hey, I just saw something

S: Very funny Li, let's change the subject

Li: It's fine with me

Sakura: So, uh, how do you like it in Readington?

Li: It's okay

Sakura: Uh, where do you live?

Li: With Wei

Sakura: Oh, who's that?

Li: One of my mom's cousins, my guardian

Sakura: Does he know?

Li: What, about the Clow Cards

Sakura: Well, yeah

Li: Clow Reed's our ancestor, the cards are important to us

Sakura: Yeah, they're important to me too

Li: Listen, I don't need your help Sakura

Sakura: I don't really need your help either.

Li: Huh? I'm going back

Sakura: Oh, uh... wait up!

At the end of Sakura's school field trip, they were to pay a visit to the cave. Sakura's partner was Madison or course and Li with Zachary. They each brought a gift and a candle to light there way through the cave. Once Sakura and Madison went into the cave, Sakura was as nervous as a bee. Over time, Sakura began to realize that they hadn't seen any other of the children's lights. When suddenly they heard a scream. It was the sound of Chelsea's voice calling out for Nikki. Sakura and Madison ran across the bridge to find them and talked to Chelsea and Rita. Both of them disappeared right before there eyes.

Sakura: What's going on?

Madison: You were right  Sakura.

Sakura: I'm right, you mean to tell me that you really think that they're are ghosts in here Madison?

Madison: Li was sure there was no clow card in here right?

Sakura: uh huh, we gotta get help

While running across the bridge Madison vanished

Sakura: Madison's vanished, there's no one left

The candle Madison was holding fell onto the bridge and ignited it.

Li: Sakura!

Sakura: Li! Madison and the others...

Li: They disappeared

Sakura: uh huh

Li: It's the same with my group, everyone's vanished.

Sakura: I don't like this Li, if it's not a clow card then it's gotta be.....

Li: Get a grip, there are no such things as ghosts.

Sakura closes her eyes and concentrates on what's going on.

Sakura: huh!? Li, have you got your Lasin board?

Li: hm hmph

*Li's chant*

The Lasin board points toward where the shrine is across the water.

Sakura: Over there?

Li: Yeah
