I know what you guys are thinking...."Gabe, what the heck did you like about Gendou?!! He's probably more evil than Darth Vader since he doesn't care what the heck happens to his son as long as he gets to be with yui in the end!".

To tell you people the truth, I really didn't like Gendou the first time i saw Evangelion. In fact, I just thought of him as this guy who loves ordering people around and stuff. Jeez...i even thought he was boring and quite stone cold.

So what changed all that? In two words (one word and one number, that is) "Episode 5". Sigh...when I saw that part wherein Gendou risked his life to save Rei, all them negative thoughts about him vanished and ever since that day, I've always looked at Gendou as the sweetest, most attractive, intellectually astounding, and sexiest guy in the Evangelion universe...*even more sigh*

Probably another thing that made me attracted to him were the shots taken of him smiling whenever Rei would think of him. Like the time Rei died the second time (killed by an angel) and the other one when Shinji rescued her and she looked at Shinji and saw this image of a smiling Gendou.

The MAIN REASON WHY I JUST LOVE GENDO THOUGH IS...

His love for his wife....You may be wondering why he's cold all throughout the series...why he doesn't care about anyone and would do anything to achieve his goal....why? WHY?!! it's all because of yui. and for a man to love a woman as much as that shows so much about gendo longs for yui. looks like everything gendo is doing boils down to love. and we all know just how much love can move mountains...and at the same time, how it could break a person when it's taken away.

NAOKO:

So maybe Gendou did use some people and ended up running over them in the process. Naoko for example...I like Naoko :)...in fact, she really LOVED Gendou. I'm really angry at Gendou for playing with naoko's feeling because Naoko really looks like a nice person. The way she talked to rei when rei got lost was like a mother talking to a child or a respected teacher talking to her pupil.

I really feel sorry for her. Hmmmm...now that i think about it, who's better? Naoko or Yui?

If yer gonna ask me, i'd choose Naoko. Why? Because she even left her own daughter for Gendou. Just look at what happened to End of Evangelion. Not to mention that at least she got a kissing scene with him while Yui and Gendou weren't really seen doing something sweet or intimate. It's really too bad naoko and Gendou didn't hit it off.

RITSUKO:
And about Ritsuko, i respect her for keeping up with Gendou like that. I still think naoko is the best though. I also feel sorry for poor Ritsuko. she got played around with and she knew it. She really knew what's going on. I guess she really does love Gendou too for staying with him for so long.

REI:
Ugh...i like her and i HATE HER!!! I LOVE THE SECOND REI... AND I WANNA KILL THE 3RD REI!!! The 3rd Rei left gendou like a cute, small little puppy left out in the cold rain!!! I HATE HATE HATE THE 3RD REI!!!

But me loves the 2nd rei because she truly cherished Gendou. She kept his glasses and she even slapped shinji when he said bad things about him. Call me weird but i think it would be cute if gendou and rei really had this "thing" going on between them.

I WANT A SCENE WHERE GENDOU ACTUALLY KISSES REI THOUGH!!!

YUI:
The lucky gal who got married to Gendo Ikari. The day they got married was definately the day she hit the jackpot. I bet that if Yui didn't die, then Evangelion would end up being all sweet and mushy with gendou and yui acting a la "Miaka and Tamahome" or "Usagi and Mamoru" all night and day and man, it would drive Shinji insane and would make Misato, Kaji and Ritsuko melt with jealousy.

Come on, guys! admit it! under all of Gendou's evilness is something that's sweet and loving and all cute and kind and um, all the good shtuff ya want in a guy.
