Good ol' Shadi ^_______^ I had to give him a page of his own ^^
Here's another YuGiOh character whom I think is greatly underrated and/or misunderstood. Many people seem to assume that because of things he said to Pegasus and Marik, he's a bad guy. That is soooo not true!!
From what I heard, he told Pegasus that if he was the worthy one to own the Millennium Eye, he would receive some sort of gift or reward. Well, it seems that he did, 'cause he was allowed to see Cecelia again, even if only for a moment! Just 'cause she didn't get to stay, you can't assume that Shadi was lying or something!!
And when he told Marik that it was the Pharaoh's will for what happened to his father to take place, he wasn't trying to frame Yugioh, nor was he trying to ruin Marik's life!! I mean, gosh, Shadi's whole purpose in being around is to protect the Pharaoh and the Millennium Items and stuff! He wouldn't be purposely trying to turn Marik against the guy!! Shadi can't help that Marik interpreted what he said wrong!!! (BTW, I luv Marik too, so don't think I'm flaming him. I know that Marik was under a lot of stress and it wasn't his fault about the misinterpretation either!)
I would say Shadi's biggest problem is that he's not a people person and therefore isn't always adept at phrasing things right, because it seems that much of what he says gets misconstrued. Poor Shadi! **huggles him** He's only ever tried to do what's right!
Oh, another thing I've heard complained about: The way he just went up to Yugi and plunked the Ankh against his forehead without explaining why. Well, think about this: If he explained what he was gonna do, and Yugi just so happened to really be the criminal he was searching for, Shadi would've been killed before he could do it! DUH!!! Of course he couldn't explain what he was up to!! And anyway, when he found his mistake, he apologized to Yugi for his "rude intrusion." ^_____^
LOL, well, there's another YGO rant for ya. I luv Shadi ^^
P.S.: I don't consider Season 0 (the unreleased one) to be official canon, if you're gonna bring that up.
