Umm...well here's chapter three. Like I said at the end of chapter
two I'll try to get this one to be longer.
Chapter three: The
meeting
By: Felicia Robinson
She was waking up a little but she heard voices so she acted
asleep.
"Miroku will you help explain why she looks like Kagome? She
also got rid of all of those youkai with one swipe and she hovered above the
ground like...." InuYasha was telling Miroku.
"Magic." They both said in conclusion. They both looked
over at the girl asleep on the mat in front of the fireplace.
"I'll run some spiritual tests to find some answers."
InuYasha just nodded his head at Miroku's idea. They both looked at the girl and
she was standing up.
"No one is gonna touch me. I am a mystery and I like it that
way." Stated the girl.
"I just wanted to check your mana level." Miroku told
her. InuYasha looked at him and was surprised at how intelligent he seemed at
the moment.
"That is why I'm letting you do it." She said taking a
step back as if to flee the room. InuYasha knew he wouldn't be able to stop her
he looked at Miroku as to see what he was gonna do. Miroku started muttering
something under his breath. InuYasha looked over at the girl her eyes widened
when she realized what the monk was doing. She screamed 'no' and tried running
out of the room but when she reached the doorway an invisible barrier stopped
her and she hit the floor hard. When she got up to look at Miroku he was smiling
as if he found a new discovery. InuYasha heard Sango announce that she was home
and he walked to the doorway but he was stopped. He got up from just being
thrown to the ground and spun around to face Miroku.
"What the hell did you do?" InuYasha asked.
"I put up a room binding spell. No one can get in or
out." He said smugly looking at his surroundings. He then looked to the
door as Sango came to it and was thrown back.
"Miroku take the spell down quit foolin' around. Who is
she?" Asked Sango getting up.
"The spell isn't coming down till I get some answers from
her." Miroku pointed to the Amazon looking woman.
"I will tell you nothing." The girl spat.
"Well then we'll all rot in here then won't we." Miroku
stated sitting down.
"No you'll rot then the spell will come down the hanyou over
there will live longer and so will I." The girl laughed taking a seat on
the mat she was sleeping on earlier.
"But your human. I can smell it." InuYasha sniffed the
air a little. Miroku looked at the girl questioningly.
"Even though I'm human I can outlive even you, InuYasha."
She said smugly.
"How do you know my name?" Now it was InuYasha's turn to
be confused.
"My question is how can you outlive him?" Miroku asked
gesturing to the very confused InuYasha.
"I know InuYasha only by reputation. I can use magic for
anything. Even to get myself out of this barrier." The girl admitted.
"If you can get out then why haven't you done it
already?" Asked InuYasha with an eyebrow raised.
"Because I wanted to see what you'd do." She yawned.
"Take down my barrier than." Miroku wanted to see what
she could do.
"Ok not a problem." She stood up and walked to the middle
of the room. She lifted up her hands to the ceiling and hovered. Her toes just
barely touched the wood plank floor. Miroku stared wide-eyed at her. A breeze
swept through the room. Miroku looked surprised. She landed on the ground.
"Wow! It's gone!" Miroku exclaimed. InuYasha walked over
to the door and walked through to see what Sango got at the market. The girl sat
down on the mat and looked up to see Miroku stare at her.
"I won't go anywhere. I'll answer your questions." She
sighed.
"All of them?" Miroku insisted. She nodded her head and
Miroku was satisfied so he left to go see his wife and kick InuYasha out of the
bags of food.
*Later*
She watched as five people and a fairly large cat settled
themselves in the room she was to sleep in.
"Well let's start with names. Mine is Miroku. This is my wife,
Sango." He pointed to the girl next to him. *She has an aura of...wait...* "
And this is our son, Yamasaku. The little fox is Shippou." He pointed to
the little fox that was examining her from afar. He snapped out of it when he
heard his name. "And the hanyou you referred to earlier I believe you
already know his name is InuYasha."
"Yes my name is...." She side glanced to Miroku. He
nodded his head signaling to her that it was okay. "My name is Ayame."
She sighed in relief. Everyone just looked at her.
"How did you know my name?" InuYasha broke the silence.
"I've heard of a white haired, pain in the butt, weak, hanyou
named InuYasha." Answered Ayame.
"Hey I'm not a pain and I am not weak!" Exclaimed
InuYasha.
"Who did you hear that from?" Asked Sango messing with a
loose hem on her kimono.
"I heard it from a youkai who claimed to be Sesshomaru."
She answered remembering how annoying that demon was.
"Feh, that figures." InuYasha rolled his eyes.
"Why were you in contact with that loser?" Asked Shippou.
"He found out my powers and asked me to be his queen. But I
thought you were gonna be annoying well so far he was by far worse than you,
InuYasha." She told them truthfully.
"He wanted you to be his queen?" Asked Sango.
"That means you must be pretty powerful for my brother to
consider you as a wife." InuYasha added.
"And if your a powerful witch-" Miroku was interrupted.
"Sorceress." Ayame corrected.
"If your a powerful sorceress than Sesshomaru will try to use
you against InuYasha." Miroku was thinking aloud.
"Well that probably was his plan because he hates you with a
passion, InuYasha. But I wouldn't join him so...." She trailed off.
"Well from my past experiences with him he won't take 'no' for
an answer." Miroku told Ayame.
"Yeah well he'll have to get over it. Because I'm with you
guys, now." Ayame crossed her arms as if that was to seal off her final
answer. Miroku and Sango looked at her surprised. Shippou was smiling at how
much she was like their old companion, Kagome. Yamasaku was asleep cuddled next
to his cat. Miroku glanced at InuYasha...he was smiling-then it disappeared.
"Well only if it's okay with you guys." Ayame added.
"It's fine. I could use another girl around the house."
Sango said. "I'll go get you a kimono to wear so you'll be more comfortable
in front of them." She got up and walked out of the room.
Ayame looked down at her outfit then felt someone staring at her
she looked at Miroku--no he was looking at his sleeping son. She looked at
InuYasha...yup he was staring at her. InuYasha realized she noticed him staring
he blushed and looked away. Sango walked back into the room with a dark blue
kimono with little purple flower designs and a purple sash to fashion around her
waist.
"You can have it. I'll get some more for you later but for now
you can have that one and wear some of mine." Sango pointed out a room
where she could change in. Sango looked at her husband carrying their son to bed
since it was late. And she saw InuYasha sigh in annoyance. She walked over to
InuYasha and kneeled down. "What's wrong?"
InuYasha looked up at his friend. "She looks just like
Kagome." His eyes started to water but a voice stopped him.
"Get a look at our new roommate." It was Miroku's voice.
Sango and InuYasha looked up to the doorway and saw Miroku standing there.
"Ready guys?" He asked before moving aside to let Ayame in with her
midnight blue kimono.
"Now there's a pretty girl." Sango whistled. Shippou
nodded in approval from where he was sitting. Miroku winked at Ayame. Ayame
looked like an angel in that dress. InuYasha could only stare. "I'll go
make some ramen for all of us." Sango said as she left the room.
*)20 minutes later(*
"So uh...what’s your story?" Miroku asked Ayame as she
sat down on her mat as Sango announced the food was done.
"Well let me tell you the entire story of how much I
remember." InuYasha looked interested. Shippou went to help Sango with the
bowls of soup. Miroku shifted on his pillow to put his feet underneath him.
"I don't remember anything of my life before my dream but I woke up in a
small hut in the middle of a large forest. An elder woman took care of me. I
later found out that she was an outcast, shun from her village because of her
sorcery. She told me stories of how she was taught. And by my own opinion she
wasn't evil. She told me she had a premonition that she'd find a girl in the
bottom of a dried up well. She said she was walking through the forest searching
for some herbs when she heard me yelling for help. She was near a well and since
she had that premonition she checked the well first and there I was."
"She found you in a well?" Asked Shippou licking some
spilled soup on his sleeve.
"Yes." Ayame answered blowing on a spoon full of hot
ramen.
"Did the old woman by chance tell you what the name of the
well was?" Asked Miroku too involved in her story to eat at the moment.
Ayame put the spoon in her mouth and swallowed the warm liquid.
"Ummm. I can't remember but the title was a strange one it had the word
'bone' in it." She put another spoonful in her mouth.
"The bone eaters well." InuYasha's voice suggested from
his corner. He already wolfed down his portion of food.
Ayame nodded her head. "Yeah that was it!" She looked at
InuYasha he appeared depressed. "How'd you know?" Ayame asked.
InuYasha set his empty bowl aside and stood up. "A lucky
guess." He turned to look at the girl whose presence tormented him.
"I'm going for a walk." And with that he left the room. The door to
the outside could be heard sliding open and quickly closed.
"Did I do something wrong?" Ayame asked bringing everyone
back to reality.
"No. You didn't do anything. It's just that...." Sango
looked at Miroku.
"It's just that you remind us all of a girl that was a good
friend of all of us. InuYasha fell in love with her. But she wasn't meant to
stay in this time." Miroku explained.
"Wasn't her name Kagome?" Asked Ayame shocking everyone
in the room.
"Yes but how do you know?" Sango was the first to speak.
"At first when Sesshomaru saw me he mistaked me for her. I
later convinced him that I wasn't Kagome but Ayame." Miroku just sat there
waiting for more. "After he believed me he told me stories of her and
InuYasha always getting in his way." Sango was playing with her kimono.
Ayame continued. "Then when I first encountered InuYasha he looked at me as
if he knew me. He was shy. I got the sexual vibe if you know what I mean."
"Yeah I used to get that from girls all the time." Miroku
bragged.
"No you didn't you leecher. You went around asking women to
bear your child." Sango said hitting Miroku on the head with her boomerang.
Miroku's face got red. He decided to change the subject. "Why
did you bring that out of the closet?"
He asked referring to the weapon his wife used to give him a growing bump
on his head.
"Ever since InuYasha told us that there were demons near the
village." She answered patting the boomerang.
"But they were taken care of." Miroku said standing up
and stretching.
"No there are more. Only a little farther away. About four
days walk from here." She said putting catching Miroku in surprise.
"What how can you tell?" He asked sitting back down.
"I can sense them. My powers are back." Sango said with
joy in her eyes thinking about the old days.
"Oh." Miroku said walking to the doorway. "I dunno
'bout you guys but I'm tired. Come on dear lets go the bed." Sango looked
back at her husband standing there at the door. Then she looked at Ayame. She
broke eye contact by getting up.
"Ayame if you need anything just ask. Goodnight." Sango
followed Miroku into their room. They left Ayame to herself.
*Man
there is something odd about her. I should go ask InuYasha.*
Ayame got up and walked out of her room and out of the hut to find InuYasha.
Ayame was on her guard. No telling what could be hunting her this time. She
walked until she reached a large ceremonial looking tree. It seemed familiar in
a way yet she'd never been here before in her life. It seemed like de-ja-vou
from a dream. She turned around and took a deep breath.
"InuYasha, I have a question for you." She said to the
silence. "I know your here I can feel your spirit energy." She
waited...leaves in the big tree above her rustled and InuYasha jumped from the
branches to land in front of her.
"What’s your question?" He asked leaning up against the
big tree putting his hands in his sleeves.
"Your friend, Sango I believe her name is." She started.
"Yeah what about her?" InuYasha sighed.
"I think she is pregnant." Ayame stated.
InuYasha was caught off guard and his reaction showed it.
"How...how....Why do you say that?" He recovered shakily.
"Well she has three spirit energies instead of one."
Ayame told him thinking of only one other reason why she'd have more than one
spirit. "Or instead of being pregnant she could be possessed."
InuYasha's mouth dropped. "That could explain why she's been
acting weird lately." He said sitting down in an indian-style.
"I could do an exorcism just to see if she is possessed. But I
really hope she is pregnant because it will be really hard to get two souls out
of her. I'll need some things though so it'll be a couple of days until I can do
the actual ceremony." Ayame told the very solemn looking hanyou. InuYasha
looked up at her and nodded. She told him a list of items that she'll need.
"But the thing is I'll have to go with you to get most of the stuff cause
some of the youkai I need it from will be too hard for you to beat by your self
even with the Shikon jewel you have." InuYasha was surprised but then he
realized that she could sense it.
"Ok we'll tell everyone that we are going on a little trip.
Just the sorceress and the hanyou." InuYasha said getting up and walking in
the direction of the hut.
"Wait." Ayame stopped him. "There is one item I need
that comes out only at night. And it grows near here." InuYasha looked at
her realizing what she was talking about.
"Are you talking about nightshade seeds?" He asked as
Ayame nodded. "Ok hop on my back I'll give you a piggy back ride there.
It'll be faster." He turned around and she got on his back. And they were
off to the Valley of the Deadly Nightshade.
