Session 7: "Heavy Metal Queen"

It's another typical day for the Bebop crew...

Jet just got a tip on a new bounty. The guy's name is Decker and he's got a dragon tattoo. Problem is, that's all they know about him, other than he's about to show up in some small town. So, Spike stakes out a bar and Faye stakes out an ice cream shop.

Meanwhile, an old truck driver named V.T. walks in, and she's a little ticked because of all the bounty hunters around. It would seem she hates bounty hunters, just won't say why. A couple of mexican bounty hunters attempt grope a waitress but V.T. interferes and a small fight ensues. At this point, Spike is sitting at the bar trying to drain the white off of an egg so he can cure his hangover when one of the bounty hunters knocks the egg into his lap. Angry because he can't use the egg, he gets up and quite easily takes care of the mexicans. After some talk with V.T., he learns he can get a rather large sum of cash if he can guess her name. V.T. finds out Spike is a bounty hunter when the waitress runs in with news from Faye.

While at the ice cream shop, a rather large man with part of a dragon tattoo showing on his chest walks in. Faye sneaks up and tells the guy in the next booth to go call the cops. The guy sneaks off, covering his arm, but when he moves it, Faye notices a dragon. Tearing the front off of the big guy's shirt, she sees a tattoo of...a smiling eel. Faye charges after Decker, but he whips out a small bomb and destroys her zipjet.

Unfortunatly, when Spike goes to pursue, he learns his starcraft has been destroyed, so he sits down and starts hitchhiking. V.T. walks out and sees him, and offers him and Faye a ride.

Once back on the Bebop, Spike gets a call. V.T. just caught up with Decker, and she's gonna make him pay for damaging a fellow trucker's convoy, unaware of Deckers explosives! Spike and Faye head off in their ships, but neither have any weapons on their ships.

Meanwhile, V.T. and Decker have crashed in the middle of an old reactor. Decker is killed, effectively destroying the bounty, but all the destabalized nitro he had could go off at any minute, and a cave in traps the three ships! Using the pinchers on her zipjet, Faye drops a can of nitro in Spike's escape pod, while Spike plugs his ears, holds his breath, and attempts to float to V.T.'s freighter. He almost misses, but is able to use his gun to redirect himself and lands on her ship, just as the nitro detonates and clears the path. The explosion shakes the ship, and Spike catches a small picture frame. After regaining their ground, Spike throws it back to her...

"I think you're going to need this...Victoria Turpskeday."

The picture is of Turpskeday, an infamous bounty hunter...and his wife, Victoria. V.T. is his wife, and hates bounty hunters simply because he was killed doing his job. Spike merely smiles and tells her to give him his regards.
