History (basic) A wanted Space pirate and demon summoner, Ryoko has lived for a little over two thousand years, though she displays her age as a 17 year old woman. She enjoys drinking (because she likes to be intoxicated), sleeping, and baths in hot springs. Her vessel,Ryo-ohki is a small cabbit (half cat, half rabbit) that can become a battle-ready space vessel at will.(TV) She came to earth after a ship to ship gun duel with Mihoshi, which she crashed after due to the fact she was drunk. Tenchi found her at the crash site and administered medical aid, and she was immediately attracted to him. Even after her exposure as a wanted criminal by Mihoshi, she remains with Tenchi and is always trying to get his attention , while trying to keep others from capturing his intrest.
(OVA) Imprisoned within the Masaki shrine, Ryoko was the demon who cause untold havoc and desctruction on countless worlds and colonies before she was defeated by Yosho. Tenchi released her while exploring the cave, and attacked him after awakening, due to the fact she was angry for being imprisoned for 700 years. She cooled off and came to live with him and has been there for him in his struggles, though she has had a hand in some of them. She was under the mind control of Kagato, who forced her to do all of her past destruction, but was freed when Tenchi slashed him apart with the Light Hawk Wing sword. In the second series, a shape-shifting robot named Zero captured Ryoko and took her form, so as to get close enough to capture Washu. However, in addition to copying Ryoko's form, Zero also had her feelings, but with less control. Whenever Tenchi was around, Zero would have trouble doing anything. Zero's cover was blown when she tried to kill Tenchi, but couldn't. After the defeat of Dr. Clay (Zero's creator), Zero assimilated with Ryoko, and Ryoko's feelings are a bit more outspoken.
