Marmalade Boy
Some Character Info...
Koishikawa Miki
Miki is
a loving, confused and generally cheerful person. She lives with
her parents and the Matsuura's. When she was in middle school she
was in love with her best friend Suou Ginta, and she wrote him a
letter telling him. And when he read it he was with his friends.
Now Miki has to choose between Ginta and Yuu. Her best friend and
the person she lives with. But she doesn't feel that she can.
Matsuura Yuu
Yuu is a
considerate person and although he hides it he loves Miki. He
doesn't show his emotion often and usually seems very aloof and
uncaring but he really does. He tries to be empty and strong to
protect him from the possibility of being hurt.
He's very athletic and good at tennis much like Suou, and
Koishikawa.
He's really a sweet and almost fragile person deep down he just
doesn't want the rest of the world to know.
Suou Ginta
Ginta
has been best friends with Miki since Middle School. When she was
in love with him and he couldn't tell her that he felt the same
way.
Ginta's a nice guy but has a quick temper and a hot especially
when it comes to Miki. He's a good friend and is very jealous of
Yuu and Miki's relationship even before it develops. Even after
she rejects him, he still remains by her side as her friend and
looks out for her. But eventually he falls in live with Arimi,
realizing just how amazing she is for him.
He's also athletic and good at Tennis in fact that's how he met
Miki.
Akizuki Meiko
Meiko is
Miki's best friend. She is a quiet and reserved person. She
doesn't show much of her emotion, She often keeps to herself in
that respect much like Matsuura. She has an air of mystery to
her. She's lives with her parents in a large mansion. Her family
has money but no one's happy her parents are married but cheating
on each other, but cheating and argue a lot. Meiko hasn't known a
really happy family life and her parents have made her not want
to get married. Well that's what Miki thinks is the reason she
never dates.
But another little secret about dear Meiko's the reason. She has
secretly been dating Nachan for a few years. But when everyone
finds out its trouble for the 2 of them.
Suzuki Arimi
Arimi starts out as one of those people you love to hate. She went to school with Yuu till he moved and even dated him... She's annoying and obsessed with Yuu, and thinks that she should be with him and only her. As said, they dated once for 3 months because she argued Yuu into it. But in the end he broke-up with her. She dislikes Miki seeing her as an obstacle and uses Suou to try to get her away from Yuu but it doesn't and she ends up falling in love with him. She does have a plethora of guys who would kill to date her but she has her eyes set on only one.
Miwa Satoshi
Honestly
I don't know what to say about Satoshi. He's a very smart guy and
semi-popular with the ladies, except that is for the girl he
wants (Meiko). He meets Yuu in a library one day and
asks to sit next to him and freaks him out causing him to leave.
He turns out to be the son of the man Yuu thinks is really his
father. But it turns out to be not so but they become best
friends. And he becomes important to Yuu and helps Yuu get
through some really hard time like thinking he was blood related
to his girlfriend.
Satoshi also helps Meiko regain some confidence after Namura
sensei leaves her for Hiroshima.
