(Friends and minor rivals)
Koishikawa Miki & Matsuura Yuu
The main couple of the show and in my personal opinion the cutest. They meet in the first episode when the Matsuura's introduce Miki to their son and the moment their eyes meet they're in love (Love at first sight...). But they have trouble getting together Miki has to choose between him and her best friend Suou Ginta who's also in love with her. And Yuu's so distant with her and keeps her at lengths so she can't get to close but she does and then he can't help but let himself fall in love. He even told once that he liked her but she thought he was joking and slapped him (Wonder Dog Amusement park). But at the beach he finally tells her that he loves her and once she convinces him that she loves him too they're happy... Well at least till the next obstacle. But their loves been through a lot and even when they thought they were half brother and sister they stayed together.
Koishikawa Miki & Suou Ginta
Best Friends since middle school and back then Miki was in love with him. She finally got up the nerve to write him a note and tell him but his friends got to it first, and he made fun of her and said that he could never be more than friends with her. And she overheard this and they stopped talking for a year and one-day he talked to her and started acting like everything was alright again, and they became friends again. But When Yuu came he felt like he had to try and make her, his and he admitted his feelings to her. But when she started getting close to Yuu he teamed up with Suzuki Arimi to try and split them up. But things didn't work out the way he hoped. And what he thought was headway in getting Miki was really just jealousy of losing a friend.
Suzuki Arimi & Matsuura Yuu
Arimi and Yuu used to go to school together before he moved in with the Matsuura's. They were in a club together and after Arimi spoke with him the first time she was in love. But when she asked him out he declined. But she argued her way into a 3-month relationship with him. Saying that is after 3 months he doesn't feel they're perfect they'll break up no strings, and he did. They were still acquaintances and friendly with each other. One day after he moved he bumped into her again. And she fell in love with him again and wanted him back. And soon registered Ginta to her cause. But things did not go at all like she had planned.
Suzuki Arimi & Suou Ginta
They met at the tennis match Yuu and Ginta had against Rokutunda and his teammate. She and Rokutunda went to school with Yuu. (Rokutunda's Ginta's cousin and has been in love with her since he was 5.) She starts to pretend to be close to him to try and make Miki jealous and choose him over Yuu, to give her a chance with him. But things don't work out and Yuu and Miki fall in love. But what neither one knows is that they've fallen in love with each other.
Namura-sensai & Akizuki Meiko
A student teacher relationship gone wrong, Nemura or Nachan is a teacher to Maiko, Miki, Ginta and them. But when Meiko was 15 she met him in the old library. Every week she could come by to see him and eventually they got to know each other. But she had to stop openly dating him when she went into high school because he would be her teacher. But due to an incident with Her parents she ran away to his apartment and someone saw her leaving and the school had to get involved. Suspending her and making Nachan quite. He left for Hiroshima and when Meiko wanted to go to, he forbade it unwillingly leaving her. But later she ends up in Hiroshima with Miki and she's happy when she sees Nachan and they talk and end up back together and even married.
Koishikawa Miki & Akizuki Meiko
Best friends since 7th grade. And have been through everything together and in the end they remain together.
Matsuura Yuu & Suou Ginta
Bitter rivals in the beginning, because both of them are in love with Miki. Although Yuu never openly admitted it Ginta knew he did too. They're both very similar, both athletic, popular, pretty cool guys and care a lot about Miki. As much as Ginta tried not to he ended up becoming friends with Yuu. Not best friends like Yuu and Satoshi but good. When Yuu was chosen and Ginta threatened to hurt Yuu if he ever made her cry they were all close again.
