I know we all need the news for those of us who want to see whats going on in the world, and for those of us who are incapable of reading a newspaper. However, I don't see why it is suddenly necessary, not only to run the news straight for almost 48 hrs, but to also go and repeat the same damn lines and the same stupid pictures every 2 hours!
No one needs to see the news this long, and this much. The same thing was done after thr 9-11 tragedy and all it did was scare the crap out people who were already scared from the knowledge of the attack itself. Now, because we are again in a state of war the news has deemed it necessary to repeat the same thing over again. So not only will we scare people with the ideas of hundreds of casualties, but we'll also serve to fuel all anti-war protests which I'm sure doesn't help national unity right now.
I was considerably amazed when I was actually able to watch the simpsons this evening. When will the newscasters learn that showing the news for more than 24 hours strait does nothing but piss people off? Probably for a little while, until something else happens.
