This is SO horrible I don't even know where to begin!!! I mean I didn't think they could possibly do any worse with name pronunciations than Kai-ay-day...Well I was wrong! *smacks self In just one episode...poor Miroku-sama...Oh for god's sake...what is the problem with Americans that we can't pronounce a name in a foreign language!? It is Mi-ro-ku, NOT mi-rooooooo-ku, and also par for that particular episode, it's Na-ra-ku not...Na-raaaaaaa-ku. It is a bad idea to emphasis the middle syllable. I don't understand that extreme fascination with it. Cause I know that it's not just this anime, there also Sa-kuuuuuuu-ra and Ba-kuuuuuu-ra...*sigh Ugh you dubbing people need to fucking learn how to read.
Now I have to admit, Miroku's dubbed voice wasn;t wholly as bad as I thought it would be, however, no one can replace Tsujitani Kouji as Miroku-sama. Plus from the small tidbit I heard of Naraku's voice, that doesn't sound very pleasing either.
Now finally for this particular gripe, Miroku's kazaana has not become air void, in english as it properly should be, but instead has become the "wind hole," which makes it sound like some kind of stupid little wind tunnel. Fine even Wind void I can tolerate, but just to call it a measly little hole, does not do it justice.
And if you're gonna just flame me and tell me not to watch it, well you find me something better to watch on a crappy saturday night! The next part of this will probably come out when Sango-chan makes her appearance. And I'm quite sure, the form of the gripe, will be very very similar.
