Don the battle helms! Get the pitchforks! It's once again time for the last week rush before Christmas in the city! After all 'tis the season to trampeling over people who are aiming to buy the same things you are right?
I do believe however that I've semi figured out why this is! Aside from the fact that people are morons and wait till the very last second to do their christmas shopping, or the well-known reaction to a pre-Christmas "ON SALE 50% OFF" sign. My theory is that when one mother/father sees another mother/father supposedly buying something, especially something that looks like it is meant for their child, it triggers an automatic reflex tha says, "Gee, my son/daughter would like that too, and if I don't get them one, they'll hate me!" Or perhaps they could also be saying, "I don't know what the hell to get for my son/daughter, however it looks as this person has some idea, so let me get the same exact thing."
However the resultant is that when you have enough people acting like this you get the mad rush for the one and same object by many people.
So my conclusion is this, parents should just admit they know nothing and ask their kids for wish lists like they used to, people should do their Christmas shopping on time, and well...I have no suggestions about those accursed "On Sale" signs.
