Setzer Gabbiani

This top notch gambler is my second fav male character in the FFVI cast. I don't really know why, but for some reason Setzer strikes me as cool.

Setzer enters as a traveling gambler looking to take the famous opera singer Maria, but ends up nabbing Celes instead. Celes tries to convince Setzer to let them use the airship to get to Vector, and he only agrees if Celes will become his wife. Of course our heroine won't be taken in so easily, and they flip a coin. Setzer loses not realizing it was a two-headed coin, and agrees to take the group.

Setzer is the owner of the worlds only airship, "The Blackjack." Of course, where would any Final Fantasy story be without an airship to get it's heroes around? Even though The Blackjack is destroyed when the world falls apart, Setzer brings out the airship of his lost love Daryl. Daryln died when her ship crashed, and Setzer repaired it and put it in her grave, but when the world needed his help, he decided it was time to face the past and let Daryl's airship fly once again.
