Weird Facts:The romanji for "Miruku" which is close to "Miroku" means Milk; there actually is a Miroku in the history of Buddihsm; Miroku's Kazaana is actually supposed to be on his right hand, but is on his left hand in the anime
History:Like most of Rumiko Takahashi's characters, Miroku-dono doesn't have much history. His grandfather was tricked by Naraku (who was disguised as a beautiful woman), and was cursed with the Kazaana. This Air Void is passed down from Father to son(there was no mention of an females), until either Naraku is destroyed, or the blood line dies out. So Miroku-dono is searching for Naraku so he can kill him and end the curse. Except he asks every cute girl to bear his child, so that in case he dies, he'll have a descendant to carry on and defeat Naraku. He was raised by the monk Mushin, who is a total drunk, but he does care about Miroku. Mushin is the only person able to repair Miroku's Kazaana.
Entrance:Miroku-dono originally tries, and inevitably fails to get a piece of the Shikon no Tama away from Kagome. Then after he helps a sensitive nosed Inu Yasha defeat a some ink Oni, he decides to travel with "Kagome-sama."
Personality:Miroku-dono is a very kind and loyal friend, and has a great deal of confidence in his abilities. However, he is also a pervert, and quite a coniving thief. He's very good at fooling people into feedng him and letting him spend the night so he can seal the house from evil spirits. He is also very knowledgeable. When he tries to explain "Shikon" to the group I think he confuses everyone but Sango-chan. Under all this though, he worries daily about his Kazaana, but he'll never admit it. He and Inu Yasha often clash and fight usually because Miroku-dono doesn't like the way Kagome's being treated.
Relationships:The most likely relationship for Miroku-dono will probably be with Sango-chan. He's always looking out for her and protects her quite often in battles. He's taken quite a few slices and whacks dong so too. Not mention Miroku-dono tries to kiss and grope Sango-chan more than anyone else. There's also the rumor that he hasn't actually asked Sango-chan to bear his child because it would crush him to be rejected by her. Sango-chan does seem to also care for him, and guards him if he gets injured. She also gets annoyed when she sees him asking other girls to bear his children. After all, you never know, ne? ^^.
