Question:Do you usually like the good guys in a series?
Answer:I'll have to admit it is a bit odd that Miroku is my favorite character from Inu Yasha. Usually I go for the "Bad Guys." You know like Xellos from Slayers, or Kojiro of Team Rocket (Pocket Monsters), and Gorgeous and Sick from Maze. Originally I liked Sesshou-maru, but as I got into the second and thrid seasons I started to like Miroku better. Especially after that episode where his Kazaana gets cut. (He was sooooo cute as a kid! ^_^)
Question:Isn't Miroku kind of perverted? Doesn't that bug you?
Answer:Well I find his...how do I say lecherisms (is that even a word?) kind of funny. I mean how many guys would go around asking every cute woman they see to "Bear their child?" And how many of those would ask (I think that girl was 7 or 9 or something like that) a young girl to do it? But every anime needs it's pervert. Happosai, (Ryoga too even though he won't admit it), Ataru, Carrot, Gokudo, ect. Even though he groped Kagome once, and tries to repeatedly with Sango he's not as bad as most of the others I listed.
Question:That can't be all. What else maes Miroku so special?
Answer: Of course that's not all! (I feel like I'm marketing a produc here!! Geez) Miroku-dono makes a perfectly cute Bishounen (even if Sesshou-maru has longer hair). You also gotta feel kinda bad for him. He watched his own father get pulled into his Kazaana, and now poor Miroku's time gets shorter by the day.
There's also that little fact that he's a thief, which kind of reminds me of something Lina Inverse might do. Especially the fact that he doesn't ever feel bad about it.
Of course I can't forget the Kazaana itself! Even though it doesn't work to well around Naraku's stupid wasps, it is definitely an awesome way to level the playing field against the yokai. Not mention he can fight hand to hand combat without using the Kazaana. He also seems to have some houriki, like being able to exorcise demons.
The songs themed to him and his Kazaana are really cool too. Finally, what makes Miroku-dono the best is that he looks super cute as a key chain, and totally Kawaii as a plushie!!! ^^(Deep breathe. Ranting over.)
