Episode Three – Terremotomon’s Rolling Spikes

 

Matt: Last time on Digimon, after a failed attempt to find our digimon on the map in Izzy’s computer, we decided we should split up and look for them. I went with Mimi, Maria, Joe and Izzy, accompanied by Okomon, and Topomon went with the rest. When my group ended up at the desert of telephone poles, Izzy found a beach on his map, where we camped out for the night. Suddenly, Gesomon decided to wreck the party. Okomon digivolved to Conegamon, and blasted him back to the sea. Gesomon is sure going to be hurting in the morning!

 

(Digimon Theme)

 

Scene: Allison’s group is walking through the forest, and Topomon is having a hard time catching up. Allison notices, and picks her up and carries her in her arms.

 

Sora: How many times have we been through this situation? Tired, hungry, walking for an eternity…(glances over to her right) Hey, Tai! Look!

 

Tai: Huh?

 

(Below them on the right is Primary Village. Eggs are strewn about everywhere, and Elecmon is busy taking care of them.)

 

T.K.: Hey! It’s Elecmon and the digi-eggs!

 

Allison: Is that supposed to be a rock band…?

 

Kari: No, Elecmon has the job of taking care of the baby digimon, even before they hatch.

 

T.K.: Last time I was here, it was raining lots of digi-eggs, because the Digi-world was being re-constructed.

 

Allison: Re-constructed? Digi-eggs?

 

Topomon: And they also made a few new additions, like Okomon and me!

 

Allison: Oh…

 

(Next shot, they’re walking into Primary Village. T.K. is running over to Elecmon, careful not to trample the rogue babies.)

 

T.K.: Elecmon! Hey, over here!

 

Elecmon: Huh? (surprised) I don’t believe it! Is that you, T.K.?

 

T.K.: I’m back Elecmon! (laughs, and Elecmon jumps onto his arms as he falls to his knees.)

 

Elecmon: Well dip me in iron and call me Metaletemon! It really is you! You’ve grown quite a bit, T.K.!

 

(The rest of the group catches up)

 

Allison: What’s this place called?

 

Sora: We’re in Primary Village. The birthplace of all digimon.

 

Tai: Even Topomon started here!

 

Topomon: Yup!

 

Elecmon: Hey! Topomon, you digivolved! How is that possible, did you find one of those digi-vices or something?

 

(Kari pushes Allison forward)

 

Kari: And a digidestined to go with it!

 

Allison: Um, hi…

 

Elecmon: Who are you? Are you Topomon’s partner?

 

Allison: Yeah, it digivolved when Kuwagamon attacked us, and my guess is that it couldn’t have without my digivice.

 

Elecmon: Crazy! (looks somewhat sad)

 

T.K.: What is it, Elecmon?

 

Elecmon: I’m afraid that I have some bad news for you all.

 

Tai: What?

 

(Commercial Break)

 

Sora: Please, Elecmon, tell us what’s the matter!

 

Elecmon: A couple of days ago, while I was gathering food for the babies…

 

(Goes to a flashback. Elecmon is getting food from the stream and humming happily. All of the sudden, a flying digimon lands in Primary Village, but he only sees its shadow. He goes back to the village, and finds that eight in-trainings are missing. He starts to call, “Tokomon! Koromon! Where are you?”)

 

T.K.: That’s terrible!

 

Sora: Those poor things!

 

Elecmon: There’s more. The eight in-trainings he took were…

 

Kari: What, Elecmon?

 

Elecmon: They were the in-training forms of your digimon.

 

Sora: What?!

 

Elecmon: When the digi-world was being reconstructed, all the digimon were being re-born, remember? That included Patamon and the others. I can remember when they hatched, and got to in-training form all by themselves. I can tell they still have lots of spirit. But now…(He hangs his head)

 

Tai: (mad) Who could have done this?!

 

Sora: Probably someone who knew about us digi-destined. (Tai looks clueless) Why else would they steal specifically our digimon?

 

Kari: Do you have any idea where he took them?

 

Elecmon: I’m afraid not. But, I did find something here right after the in-trainings were stolen. (holds out an arrow with a heart for the spear at the end)

 

Allison: What is it?

 

Elecmon: I haven’t the slightest. But, maybe if you put your heads together, you could use it to find your digimon.

 

Tai: You bet! We won’t rest until we find them!

 

T.K.: And all bad digimon better beware!

 

Kari: ‘Cause here come the digi-destined!

 

(Commercial Break)

 

Scene: The five kids and Topomon are walking through the forest again, and it’s getting dark.

 

Sora: (trips over a log in the dark) Whoa!!

 

Tai: (helps her up) Are you O.K.?

 

Sora: Yeah, luckily my head broke my fall…

 

Allison: I think now is a good time to stop and camp out for the night.

 

T.K.: Yeah…(sees the trees) We’d be safer if we slept up there, I bet.

 

Kari: I wish Gatomon were here. She’d help me up. I’m a bad climber.

 

T.K.: Here, let me give you a hand.

 

Topomon: (pushing Allison up the tree) <grunt> You go ahead and sleep up there. I prefer the soft dirt to sleep under…

 

Allison: Whatever you say…just don’t get trampled accidentaly…

 

Kari: …by a Monochromon…

 

(They all find a place to lie down in the tree.)

 

Tai: (thinking) I wonder why the kidnapper left behind that arrow? And why does it have a heart on it?

 

Sora: (thinking) Ugh. My head still hurts from that fall. I wonder what it was that I tripped over.

 

T.K.: (thinking) I hope Tokomon isn’t scared right now. I’m coming for you, buddy.

 

Kari: (thinking) I wonder what Gatomon’s in-training stage is? What if I find her, but I don’t recognize her? What if she doesn’t even remember me?

 

Allison: (thinking) What’s an in-training? Hey, there are more digimon? I wonder what Zumi’s is?

 

(Camera pans down to Topomon, who has burried herself into the ground so that only her spiky back is showing. To her left, about three yards away, we see the lump that Sora tripped over. At first, it appears to be just the tree root of the tree they’re all sleeping in. Then, the tree opens his eyes! It’s Cherrymon!)

 

Cherrymon: (yawning) Whoa, I feel like I’ve got migraine all of the sudden! Either that, or some Numemon decided to move in…

 

(He looks up, slightly moving the tree, and sees the digi-destined sleeping.)

 

Cherrymon: What in the…? What are these kids doing here?! I’m trying to sleep, and they decide to… (he sees their digivices) Hey hey hey! It’s the digidestined! What an oppurtunity! The master will really like this!

 

(He uproots himself and starts to walk along the trail)

 

Allison: (waking up) Hey who’s shaking the bed…hey!! (she notices that the tree is walking away with them) Everybody wake up! This tree is moving!!

 

(They all wake up, get scared, and bail out of the branches)

 

Cherrymon: Hey, where do you think you’re going?!

 

Topomon: (catches up to the kids) Uh-oh, we’ve run into Cherrymon! Last time anyone saw him, I heard, he was working for Puppetmon, until his own master got rid of him. He must have been re-born with the rest of the digimon!

 

Tai: Thanks for the history lesson Topomooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! (Cherrymon is starting to chase after them, trying to grab them with his branch-like arms)

 

Cherrymon: Come back here, digi-destined! I know someone who can help you find your lost digimon!

 

(All come screeching to a halt)

 

Sora: What did you say?

 

Cherrymon: I was about to take you to your digimon, but you decided not to trust me and bail out! And I was trying to be courteous!

 

Tai: Why should we trust you?

 

Cherrymon: So I worked for the Dark Masters for a while…that doesn’t matter, I’m a new mon now! I want to help you guys out!

 

Allison: He’s lying!

 

T.K.: We don’t need any help from you! Leave us alone!

 

Cherrymon: (looking mysterious) In that cause…Leaf shower!

 

(Razor-sharp leave shoot at the digi-destined, and they duck behind a big rock.)

 

Cherrymon: It’s your choice now, either come with me, or never see your world again!

 

(Commercial Break)

 

Scene: Cherrymon is stalking toward the rock hiding the five digi-destined.

 

Cherrymon: Come out, come out, wherever you are!

 

Conegamon: Psychic Blast! (It hits Cherrymon, and he stumbles back. He looks up in the sky to see Maria, Joe, Matt, Mimi, and Izzy riding Conegamon)

 

Cherrymon: Hey, watch it! I just got pruned last week!

 

(Conegamon lands, and the other five digi-destined get off. Maria hurries over to Allison.)

 

Maria: Are you O.K.?

 

Allison: Yeah! Good timing by the way!

 

Cherrymon: Grrr!! Leaf shower!

 

(Conegamon blocks the attack and gets the full force of it, and stumbles back. She’s hurt.)

 

Maria: Conegamon! (She rushes over to Conegamon who de-digivolves to Okomon) You blocked that whole attack!

 

Okomon: Maria…he’s strong…

 

Cherrymon: (laughs evilly) Time to give up!

 

Topomon: Not yet!

 

Allison: What do you think you’re doing? You’ll get chopped into pieces if you fight him!

 

Topomon: I have to try! (jumps toward Cherrymon) Sand Storm!

 

Cherrymon: Don’t make me laugh! I’m a tree! I won’t be swayed by a puny sand storm like that! Now be a good digimon and come with me! Just trust me!

 

Izzy: Don’t listen to him!

 

Allison: (thinking) What are we going to do? Okomon’s hurt, and Topomon can’t take him alone. (zoom in to her digivice) I gotta figure out what’s the right thing to do!

 

(Digi-volving sequence. “Topomon…digivolve…to… <poof>…Terremotomon!!” Terremotomon looks like Kabutops (the pokemon) with a spiky back and spiky beaver-like tail.)

 

Cherrymon: What’s that?!

 

Izzy: It’s Terremotomon! She is known for her exceptional burrowing techniques, and can detect things by using her sonar-like ears. Her two scythe-like claws are lethal weapons, and she can use her attack, Rolling Spikes, to knock out her opponent in one hit!

 

Allison: Wow! She got bigger!

 

(Terremotomon slashes at Cherrymon)

 

Cherrymon: Aaaa!! Leaf shower!!

 

(Terremotomon dives into the ground and dodges the attack.)

 

Matt: All right! She dove underground!

 

Joe: Go for it, Terremotomon! Make him cry! (Maria looks at him with a suspicious look) Er…

 

(Cherrymon is looking franticly around for Terremotomon. She bursts out behind him)

 

Terremotomon: (curls up into a ball, than tackles him) Rolling spikes!

 

(Cherrymon stumbles forward, and falls on his face, exposing the fruits in his branches.)

 

Izzy: Hey, I’ve got an idea! (He grabs some fruit and tosses it to Maria) Hurry! Give some food to Okomon!

 

Maria: (catches the fruit) Oh! (she feeds it to Okomon)

 

Okomon: Mmm, this stuff really puts the life back in you!

 

Maria: Can you fight?

 

Okomon: Does Gesomon need a make-over?!

 

(Digi-volving sequence; Okomon turns into Conegamon. Conegamon lands next to Terremotomon, ready to fight. Cherrymon gets up and faces them.)

 

Cherrymon: Huh?

 

Conegamon: Psychic Blast!

 

Terremotomon: Rolling Spikes!

 

(Both attacks hit Cherrymon full throttle. He’s blasted back wards for half a mile through the trees, then he faints from exhaustion.)

 

All: (cheers)

 

(Topomon and Okomon return to their owners, somewhat tired but nonetheless very happy.)

 

Tai: Great job you guys!

 

Sora: If you hadn’t digi-volved, Topomon, we’d all have been in a lot of trouble!

 

Okomon: What about me? I came through, too!

 

Maria: I’d never forget, you, Okomon! You’re the greatest!

 

Okomon: Ah, gee!

 

(Commercial Break)

 

Scene: All the digi-destined are together in a circle, discussing something.

 

Matt: He stole our digimon?!

 

T.K.: That’s right!

 

Sora: I figure that Izzy couldn’t find Tentomon on his computer because he’s not Tentomon yet; for all we know, he’s Motimon right now.

 

Joe: Did Elecmon know anything about who it could have been?

 

Allison: No, but whoever stole them left this. (Shows arrow to the other five)

 

Maria: An arrow with a heart?

 

Izzy: Next time we run into Gennai, we should see if he knows who has something like this on his persons…

 

Allison: ‘On his persons’? Ever heard of speaking English, Zumi?

 

Izzy: I am speaking English!!

 

Matt: Well, looks like there’s only one thing to do. Show this to any digimon we see and figure out who it belongs to.

 

Mimi: Does that mean…more hiking?!

 

Matt: ‘fraid so.

 

Tai: Well, that’s O.K.! We’re together now!

 

Joe: And, we have two champions on our side.

 

T.K.: Come on, troops! Let’s find our digimon!

 

(Camera shows sky)

 

Mimi: And get sore feet along the way…

 

All: (laughs)
