About the Site:
Hajime ni:
In the beginning- there were Newtypes, and it was damn confusing. Seriously, I first saw this series in Newtype magazine. Here is the story, taken directly from my old opening page because I really don't feel like redoing it.
"In exchange for the Yuzuriha fanarts in the Yuzuriha Special, a friend from NY picked up some stuff for me. Included in the package were some Newtype magazines with articles on FLCL, Love Hina, and Mugen no Ryvius.
"Mugen no Ryvius caught my eye, partially because of it being on the cover, but mostly because of the mechs."
Sounds shallow, huh? But when you can't read kanji, all you have to go on is the pictures.
Naze: Why? Because I'm obsessed.
After spending some time attempting to read the articles, and finding out more about the series ('though I still know precious little), I've become quite fond of this series I've never seen. Therefore, this site. To expose others to Ryvius, to house my translations, and to spread awareness of this series. As far as I know, as of 6-8-01, there are no plans to release Ryvius commercially in the US, and I haven't found much in the way of fan-subs. It's kinda sad (although I have no idea how Ryvius would do in the US). The series has great potential.
Thus my obsession with this series grows. I will continue with this site, because I am utterly captivated by it, and because I am one of the only fansites in English. It's like, my Duty to keep going.
Site no koto:
Finally, the site. This site was first up on roughly June, 20001 (I'm taking a wild guess here, actually) by the name infinite RYVIUS, because I couldn't think of anything else to name it. The second layout was better, and started this awful pink scheme because it matches Neya's outfit. Now, I hate pink. But for some reason, I liked the third layout, also pink with Neya pictures (I called it "Hohoemi Version"- The Smile Version). And then, onto Neon Blue, the current layout. Still with Neya pics, but finally not pink.
Saigo ni:
Lastly, a reprise of the disclaimer. Mugen no Ryvius was created by Sunrise and TV Tokyo. It is their property. I only run this free, not-making-any-money fansite, so it is entirely NOT worth the trouble of sueing me.
