Notes: This is the title picture for the index page of my vampire AU fic. Hence the bandaged neck and cross pendant. Note that too much CLAMP makes you think bandages are sexy. Note that they're not in real life, only in art.
Anyways, this was done with a layer of shadowing in brush pen, a layer of soft pastel to blur everything, and then touches of extra brush pen for accent. I was going for a very specific style with this one, and I'm very happy to report that I acheived it. It's not often I can say that! I used Photoshop to soften the edges, which I deemed too bold for the look I wanted for the webpage. I love the way his visible eye looks- so bright compared to everything else about him, which is washing away and blurring. The only thing that really bugs me is his hand. It's not right. Too small, I think. I draw pretty big hands now, though.
