Mere has influence with the earth. In it she stores much faith. She doesn’t believe in any gods or goddesses, simply the earth. When people aren’t looking she travels on huge white wings, but when they are the wings don’t exist. She has a willow staff she uses in battle. It rests within the Earth. She can pull it up from uncovered dirt at anytime. As you probably imagined, she likes to spend her time out on the dirt. Cement gets in her way.
Earthen Break:
1-> Mere concentrates on the power of life that it harbored within her willow staff to make vines (similar to willow’s branches) grow from any surface near her and entwine the enemies.
2-> Mere then speaks to the willow staff and asks it to help her.... It gives her the same words of power every time, “Earthen Break” and when she speaks them it petrifies or stuns the vines around her enemy.
Mindspeak:
1-> Mere concentrates on the power within her being. She then locks eyes with the person she wishes to speak with. A soft glow will surround her and her eyes will shut as the two link minds. She is still somewhat conscious of the world around her, but only to a point.
2-> She closes her link to the world so she is solely in the person’s mind. Her influence is felt much more. No words of power are needed for this.
*Crystal Shattering/Envelope:
1-> Everybody knows that crystals come from the earth.... To attack/heal with this, Mere has to expend quite a bit more energy then she does for Earthen Break. She asks the earth to help her and it grants power to her staff. A golden glowing ball of energy appears above the willow staff.
2-> She can either use the power to envelope someone or to encase an enemy and then shatter the crystal, as well as the enemy. The crystal then returns to the Earth (pieces of the enemy still within it) and their energy is recycled.
Earth Meld:
1-> Mere puts the staff to the ground and traces a small circle around the subject with it. Then she lifts the staff (with her hands or her mind) into the air and strikes the bottom of it against the Earth. A hole opens in the Earth and the subject (only a scout or someone to be healed... non-attack power) is encased in the ground. They are then fully healed and held there for around two hours before the ground opens up again to let them out.
*Angel of Death:
1-> Mere does not consult the Earth to do this move.... She simply draws out the evil within her.... She can do it for a good reason, but it will always bring her closer to being purely evil again.... She uses the staff to conjure dark energy and as she does so her wings turn black....
2-> She sends the dark energy whirling at whatever she likes and as dark things tend to, the energy absorbs all life that it touches.....
Suicide Angel:
1-> This move is Mere’s way of obliterating herself.... it isn’t even guaranteed to work, but if she ever does it she will forfeit her life to it. Her life energy and that of most of the living things on planet Earth will pool together to destroy her target She will be the only one lost though.... She can only wake again if someone travels to the center of the Earth and figures out how to break the fire crystal in which she is held.... Should she wish to, Mere could destroy herself completely to grant life to Earth.
Weaknesses: Mere’s weaknesses are innumerable. In the city she has much less power. On cement she’s stranded with only the power within her... And that’s not much. Her powers are weak against steel and other metals... After all, what can earth do to these? In the forest she could do much.... In the city she can do little, but in any place where she can touch dirt she has strength. So in summary, her weakness is man-made things.
