“Ready?” Dirx clasped the butt of his Chaos Bringer’s rifle, checking if everyone was still with him.

“Always.” TC loaded his Suppressed gun. The others nodded.

It was then that the moaning came to an overwhelming climax, crushing out all other sound, before disappearing into nothingness. Now there was only silence.

Short lived though, as small Claw like creatures rose up from the ground as the dead would from their graves. They hung there, seemingly eyeing up their prey, and then began spinning wildly towards the Hunters. Their silver, knife like bodies began their approach, darting towards the nearest enemy.

“Go for the ones with the purple fire!” Delen was the first to split from the group, a deep yellow glow emanated from her right hand as she ran into the oncoming assailants, lighting flew in a circle around her, taking the life from several of the creature. Sure enough, the ones with the purple fire were the ones to die. The others followed suit, blasting the purple hearted creatures to the hell from which they came.

“Heh, this is easy!” TC grinned as he quickly took down a few creatures; he span to avoid a collision with one from behind, it slit open the armour on his arm.

“Still easy?” Delen covered the surprised hunter who hadn’t quite realised yet what had happened.

“Okay, easy, but potentially deadly.” He began firing again.

“Just the way you like it eh TC?” Dirx cast RaFoie, causing a small cascading explosion to evaporate a group of the enemy.

Pumpkin was saying nothing, using all his skill to take his foes down as quickly as possible. Unlike the others, he was all but certain that it wasn’t the end even if they came through this stage. He was right.

The creatures began to fall back into the faces below, and the moaning returned as another monstrosity awaked from the depths of the planet. A deep red dragon head appeared in front of the team, crying out for blood, and its two brothers joined it. A huge torso sat atop the heads, its silver skin gleaming in the midnight like black. A pulsating three headed creature of darkness would be the group’s next enemy to overcome. They charged.

RJ turned to Zev, “What the hell d’you think is going on down there?”

Zev franticly smashed in button combinations into the communications computer, but the results were not those he desired. “Who knows? We just gotta pray that those guys can handle it, coz that thing’s one powerful mutha according to the readings we got.”

RJ span back to his terminal, shutting his eyes for a second. “I can’t take just sitting here man! Is there no way we can get down there to help?” He slammed his clenched fist into the console, which thudded in protest.

Zev ran his hand through his green hair, thinking hard, “I can’t see any way to get down, the warps only let four of us down , and even if I spent the hours required to modify it we still wouldn’t be able to enter the area they’re in. I don’t even know where the hell it is! It could be in a different dimension for all we know.”

“Shit!”

Anarchy opened his eyes, slowly. They felt like lead, pretty much like the rest of his body. That warp wasn’t just your average warp apparently… Somebody must have tampered with it, because the last time he’d used it he hadn’t ended up on a floor with thousands of souls moaning for release under it. He was also pretty sure that there wasn’t a group of four Hunters battling a giant monster on his last visit. A small man with spiky hair and a robe ran up to him.
