Phantasy Star Online Episode III C.A.R.D Revolution Impression

It all started at a warm Saturday afternoon. I went to my local gameshop to buy the import version of PSO ep III and so I did for only € 59,99 around £ 30,- I had the game. I jumped onto the bus and went back home to play it. The game needs 32 blocks of free space to save you can put it on the same memory card with your PSO ep I&II save file on it. So you dont need to buy 2 hunter licenses but only one for both :D.(They will use the same Guild File).

Well now the story, the story takes places 21 years after the strange things on Ragol (the story of PSO ep I& II). Pioneer II is still in orbit around Ragol they havent landed on the planet yet because they are to scared to go on the planet. But still there’s research on the habit of Ragol and so they find a more stronger Photon strength. That can turn weapons Items and beasts into cards that you can control. And so you begin as a commander thats hired by the counsel to take command of a team that use the cards to investigate the Ragol surface. You can choose two different stories Hero or Arkz. The Hero side use the cards for good and only can use weapon and Items cards but Arkz can use beast cards as well and the Arkz side also wants to make money with the Card technology. The story is much better then the other PSO stories and you also see short films that tell the stories (just like a cartoon) that short films are really cooool.

Battle system -

In the story mode you battle when you told to you will recieve a mission of the Pioneer II principal and voila you go to the quest board and you can play it. You will be sent down to Ragol, you cant walk freely anymore the battle starts right away when you land on Ragol. You first have to roll the dice that will give you strength Attack Power and Defense power. After that you can equip a card to your character (not yourself because you’re a commander) you can equip a weapon a shield a mag and so go on. If you play on the Arkz side you can equip monsters like a Booma, Rag Rappy, Evil Shark and so on. After you set a card you can move your character through the field. After that you can make an attack if you have enough attack power left ( if you equip a weapon it will cost ya attack power). You will have to hit your enemy. After that you can take 5 new cards into your hand or hold the ones you have.

Now your enemy has the turn he will attack you and you have to defend yourself with defence cards like dodge, reduce, block and so go on. If yours or your enemy HP(Health Power) goes to zero you will win or loose if yours is zero you lose and if your enemy is zero you win. If you win you will recieve experience points (you still can level) and you can pick a booster with new cards in it that you can put into your deck (Max 30 cards a deck). After you did that you go back to Pioneer II (or you see a story movie :D ) and you will recieve a new mission off the chief. On Pioneer II you can edit your current deck or you can make a new one thats really cool if you make a new one you also can select with which charachter you wanna play on the battle field. It really is a cool mode the story mode. But you also can play a free battle with some friend they have to make a new charachter and voila you can battle against each other you also can set diffrent rules if you want.

Online -

If you go online you will need to buy a hunter license or use the same one of PSO ep I&II and then you go online. You can talk to players of PSO ep I & II as well but only in the lobbies. You have to find someone that also have PSO ep III and voila you can battle against each other. Or you also can play in a special events if your good you can win great prizes in the events.

PSO EP III is really great offline and Online and I hope a lot of the Stone Island players as well gonna play PSO EP III because now I am the only one. So guys when PSO EP III comes out in Europe buy it and go online so we can spread the Stone Island word.
