Azuma Kazuma is a young man with a burning passion for baking bread... and not just any bread. He's on a quest to create a bread that Japan can be proud of. Every other country has a bread that symbolizes its people and culture. France, Italy, and even China all have a single bread that is identified with its country. Azuma is on a quest to create Japan's national bread, a bread that will surpass even rice as the staple for the Japanese people. Some might call him crazy, but he has something that few people have heard about and even fewer have ever possessed. He was born with the legendary Solar hands!

When I first saw this, I thought that it was really bad, but if you can get past how cheesy the first episode is, I guarantee that it is a rather amusing series. I especially love the reactions to all the delicious breads. Not only that but it gives you tidbits of knowledge about breads at the end of the show. Thumbs up!

This anime is soooo good! Azuma is the most lovable character ever and his wacky co-workers, managers, and rivals add to make this one fully baked comedy! The things this kid can do with dough is flabbergasting - makes me want to go out and bake! Easy bake oven, here I come! Definitely watch this! You might even like it so much you'll buy it *_*.

Sorry for the Wait!! Meron Meron with Melon Bread!: Trying to figure out a way to beat Mizuno in a melon bread battle, Azuma is struck with inspiration as he, Tsukino, the manager, and Kai have their own private sushi lunch. Taking Tsukino with him, Azuma heads for the market to buy his secret ingredient. In order to counter Mizuno's melon bread made with the highest quality melon, Azuma decides to use sushi making as the basis for his own ja-pan type melon bread.
Delii-cious!! The Trap of the Yakisoba Bread!: After winning the bet, Mizuno propeses another one. Should Koala beat Azuma, Tsukino looses any claim to the company. Same thing happens to Mizuno should Koala looses. Of course, in order for the two of them to face of, they have to beat their next adversary. Should one of them looses before hand, it is considered their loss. The next theme is making the yakisoba part of the yakisoba bread. Azuma's competition is an American trained in Italy. Unfortunately, Azuma has never done anything beyond baking and making sauces for bread. In order to alleveate the situation, the manager takes them to Ryuu, a friend of his who makes the best noodles. There, Azuma and Kawachi learns the S. H. Houko, Azuma's opponent for the next round actually sepcializes in yakisoba and the store is famous for it because of him.
The Best Possible Team!! We're Going to Win with Onono Komachi-san!: Azuma and Kawachi continues o work on their yakisoba making skills under the watchful eyes of Ryuu. They start to worry as Azuma's skills doesn't seem to be improving enough to be able to take on SH Houko or Sachihouko as he is known. Kawachi easily beats his competition with his Yakisoba dog bread. He also gets an inspiration for Azuma. Since he is good at the bread, then perhaps he can alter the taste of the bread to enhance the improvements he has made in making yakisoba. With this in mind, he goes of against Sachihouko using a technique that resembles making Panini.
The Green Marvel!! It's the Magician Kazuma!: Realizing that Koala is actually Mokoyama, they are worried since against him, the theme will be making animal bread and that is the exact thing that has earned him the title of god of sweet bread. While a normal baker can braid a bread 5 times, Mokoyama braids it 20 times over. Azuma isn't worried though, he has a trick up his sleeve. In order to perform his magic, he and Tsukino runs all over town searching for the ingredients that will give him the edge he needs. Upon the start of his match, they begin working and Mokoyama creates a magnificent dragon bread which gets awarded full points. Azuma, with his trick, creates a turtle bread that is green instead of brown like all normal breads should be.

The Critical Touch and Go Situation!! The Prohibited Rodin Strategy!: A month has already passed and it is time to go to Monaco for the bread competition. Kawachi is having doubts about Kanmuri's plan and is hesitant to act the fool when Kanmuri calls him at the right moment. For the exhibition, they deicde to create Rodin's Thinker in bread form and as the three days are up, Kawachi breaks the bread as part of Kanmuri's plan. Instead, they decide to put in a Thinker with Kawachi inside and bread baked on his skin. Of course, Kawachi couldn't last the whole eight hours of the exhibition before he has to go. Unable to contain it, Kawachi breaks the bread on him and falls on top of the princess, makes her faint and gets chased out by aids. Now that the odds against Japan is 300 to 1, Kawachi is shocked to learn that that incident has cost them to lose 2 out of 10 points.
This is the World Level!! The Roulette that Brings Forth a Storm!: The competition is about to begin with two preliminaries before the actual competition. They will be allowed to gain a maximum of 5 points each round and the countries with the most combined advances to the actual competition. First though, they have to spin the roulette wheel to determine what ingerdients other than flour and water they can have. When all of them lands on egg, all hope seems lost until Azuma points out that they never said they can't have any kind of flour for their breads. Choosing a special flour, Azuma decides the best bet would be to make his #21 bread. As the judging begins, the judge has already decided to fail the other contries without salt or sugar in their breads without even tasting it. Their team is next on the judges list!

Naked, Naked, Naked!! The Magnificent Bread Match!: The final match is underway and has been divided into 3 themes. Up first is Kai with the theme for well molded bread. His opponent is Monica Adenuer. Trying to find out more about Monica and Shadow, they couldn't come up with anything until and old friend gives Ryou a call. Kid, now the president of his own investigative company gives him a heads up on Monica. She's not a real baker, but actually the world champion pastry chef from the previous year! With that in mind, Kai excitedly goes into battle. As the battle starts, we delve deeper into Monica's past and learn why she decided to work for St. Pierre.
Pierrot Escorted Away!? The Bread Packed Tightly with Love!: The competition between Monica and Kai comes to a conclusion. Kai unleashes his masterpiece, a bread with a golden color whose coloration is preserved by the layer of unused croisant dough and decorated with candied fruits as jewels. While Monica comes up with a five layered bread made with varying ratios of rye anbd flour and glued together with candy. Against this, Kai had no chance at beating Monica as the Pierrot is hauled away to jail after just tasting the bread! Visiting him in prison, the Pierrot tells Kai that he loses and explains away while Azuma and the rest wait fo rhim outside because Kuro doesn't want them to see Kai lose his match. As Kai offers his hand for a handshake conceding his defeat, he notices that Monica's palms are scorched and badly damaged and is moved by how beautiful they are - the hands of someone so dedicated to their art. The Pierrot wonders if something has started here as he is hauled back to his jail cell.

All the Ultimate Ingredients Collected!! The Greatest Finals in all of History!: The bread battle between Shadow and Azuma for the firts place spot begins. With the moves and techniques that he copied from Kisaraki, Shadow begins to create a bagel using rare ingredients. To the baggle he adds sticky rice and rice dream instead of water. He then boils it in a high quality tea made in england instead of just using ordinary water. After boiling, he fries it. When Pierrot bites into the bread, he is suddenly thrown into the world of Night on the Galactic Railroad just like the book that his mother used to love. There he finds his mother and tells his story to her - all 50,000 of her that makes up a star (50,000 Maetels = go man Maetel - gopan Maetel = gopan bagel (the name of his bread)). With a score of 100% Azuma continues to work on his bread. Using cannabis as a main ingredient, he bakes it, fires it, then bakes it again. After caramelizing some sugar on it with the second baking time, it is ready to be tasted.
Pierrot Crosses the Sands of Time!! Japan at the Apex of the World?!: After tasting the donut bread that Azuma has made for the competition, Pierrot is sent to the past instead of heaven. He lands in 1982 at the palace. There he becomes his father and mother's favored clown where serves them happily over the course of many months leading to his birth. While there, he makes sure that his mother doesn't get fat from overeating to give her unborn son proper nutrition. After a party that he personally supervised, his mother collapses after her water broke. With no one around, he picks her up and runs her to the nearest hospital, but fails to make it in before he fades back into the present. There, crying that he is able to meet his parents when they were still alive, he is shocked to see that his trip through time had an effect on reality. Both his mother and father are alive again. He ended up saving his mother and in turn, they sent him to Quedam to be just like the legendary clown that saved the queen. Pierrot, after rcovering form the shock, announces Azuma as the winner.
A Letter of Challenge from Kirisaki!! The Star of a New Program, Yakitate 9!: Having won the battle and the 12 billion yen needed to save Pantasia, they are shocked to learn from Monica that Pantasia has already been acquired and merged with St. Pierre. However, Yukino is not to become the presidento f Pantasia, Tsukino has been selected by Kirisaki. Yukino is now president of St. Pierre and Kirisaki is in a form of retirement. Freed from his position, he challenges Azuma to a final showdown between St. Pierre and Pantasia in a new Japanese show called Yakitate!! 9 in which they have to make bread using a region of Japan's specialized ingredients. To show him his sincerity, he gives them a taste of bread he made for fun - a bread that gave them a reaction of watching Yakitate!! Japan's 1st episode, only this time it is about rice and it is called Takitate!! Gohan. It is complete with a begining, end, preview and seeds of knowledge! Having accepted the challenge, they head back to Japan where Kuroyanagi is summoned by Kirisaki. Kirisaki wants him to stop being a baker and become the judge of the new show. Returning to his seat, he overhears the manager's reason why he always butts head with him. He also believes that he has the potential to be the best food critic in the present time. Hearing that, Kuroyanagi's path is made clear to him.

Yamamoto Yohko: Starship Girl
In the future, wars are civilized things. The combatants don’t mass huge forces on their neighbor’s borders and then attack with nuclear weapons: they pick representatives to do the fighting for them. In fact, there’s very little dying done at all…but no one seems to mind. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the warriors are all cute girls (who are very aware of it). Some problems transcend time, though: while one team has developed really cool new fighters, it still takes a special person to be a pilot. The problem is so acute that they’re going back through time to locate the most apt and capable girls…and this time they got more than they bargained for: Yamamoto Yohko! It isn’t that she reckless (she is). It isn’t that she’s very capable (she is). It’s just that she sometimes lacks a little bit in the modesty department…and her enemies are all very much the same! It’s the most fun you can have with a 100 Yen!

Stage 2: Nine Ball At Steam Rising Hot-Springs!: The Terra team and the Red Snapper team meet during a vacation at a hot springs planet and ends in a one on one match between Yohko and them.
Stage 3: Memories Of Roses: An old, abandoned spaceship heads for Earth after years of inactivity. The problem is that it is about to explode and take Earth with it. The Terra team is dispatched to deal with the problem. Unfortunately, they can’t destroy the ship because the Red Snapper team is inside the ship.
Stage 4: Summer Challenge: It’s Yohko, the new ace of the Terra team against Sylvie Dread, the old Terra team ace in a battle to determine the fate of the Earth.
Stage 5: Nightmare Of Legends: The Terra team with Lote from the Red Snapper team crashes to a planet and heads for an abandoned castle. In the castle they find three crazy researchers who try to…
Stage 6: Cinderella Of The Cherry Blossom Moonlight: It’s time to go to the ball; unfortunately, only one of them can come. Yohko with the draw and ends up going to the ball, but just as she was getting to enjoy herself, Sylvie Dread attacks the ball, seeking to challenge her.

Tokyo Highway Patrol officers Natsumi and Miyuki get off to a bad start when Miyuki busts Natsumi for reckless moped-riding on her first day on the job, only to find out they're going to be partners! And things get really bad when the mysterious "Fox" starts zupping Mini ERA Tirbo, daring the new team to catch him.

Yup, I recommend this one. It is entertaining. It is also from the guy who gave us Ah My Goddess/Oh My Goddess. It is actually from this series that AMG (or OMG) was born from.

Y's (pronounced e's) is a story about a hero named Adol Christin who is smiled upon by the two goddesses and destined to save the world from the clutches of demons brought into existance by the Black Pearl, a gift from the two goddesses to bestow magic to humanity, but due to human greed has become a source of evil. In this story, Adol is sent to the floating island of Y's to destroy the last of the demons and restore the Black Pearl to it's origianl untainted form.
