(Audience cheers)
Jon: Hello my sweet fans.
Jon: I just wanted to say..
(Audience cheers and claps)
Jon: Okay, thanks.
Jon: Now, I just wanted to say that I love you all. I am glad you are such a supportive audience.
(Audience claps)
Jon: We have a few things to do today. First, I want to say, the guest tonight is Daniel Kurland from DBZGT Legacy. So everyone is excited about that. I have some announcements. TLS now has community news.
(audience claps)
Jon: Thanks. I only have one more announcement. If you are looking for a design site, that makes some of the best graphics I have seen, you need to visit Rage Designs. A link can be found on the About TLS section.
Jon: Now on with the show.
Jon: First I have some interesting news. Apparently, Russia has now joined NATO, which was started in the first place to contain Moscow. I just thought that this was a little funny.
Jon: And, I wanted to raise another point. You see many people leaving the anime community and when they leave, they post these little messages on their sites talking about how they are more involved with their real life than with the Internet life. Well all I have to say is, don't you all understand that your Internet life is a part of your real life? You are spending time on it, and you are living while you are on, so how are they two different lives? It just stumps me.
Jon: I don't know, I just get very confused over things.
Jon: I would like to say thanks to a few people. Or maybe one. Thank you Op Saiyan for posting a link on your site to TLS. And another thanks to Justin for posting a link on his site, Bow Down. All of you are doing good deeds, and I thank you for that.
(Audience looks impatient)
Jon: What the hell are you all looking at? I thought I said I loved you.
Jon: Ohh, I know what you want. You want me to shut up and bring out Daniel, is this true?
(Audience looks around)
Jon: Ohh, okay then... well..
Jon: Everyone welcome Daniel!
(Audience claps)
Daniel: Thank you. It's good to be here.
Daniel: I just flew in from Canada and boy are my arms tired.
(Audience laughs)
Daniel: Ok, settle down.
Jon: Now, before we start the good stuff, lets talk about your future plans with the sites you work for.
Daniel: All right, sounds good to me.
Jon: Ok, which site would you first like to start with?
Daniel: How about my site about world dominati.... I mean DBZGTLegacy
Jon: This sounds good. So, what do you plan to do for Legacy, and how long do you plan to work for them?
Daniel: Well, I started just delivering the guys coffee and Legacy and being the punch lines of many jokes. But now I do quite a bit for the site. I report news very often, you could say we are a very up to date site. I also work on the voice actor section for the Funimation and Ocean dub. I also make sections whenever I have time.
Jon: You have an important job I can see.
Daniel: Yes
Jon: So, if you disappeared, do you think Legacy would still be able to function?
Daniel: Most likely. It wouldn't have the same touch though. I add a sense of humor to the site where I can and post often because I know fans do not like to see lack of updates.
Jon: Well, maybe we can make you disappear, and then, we will see what Legacy has to say, but, this cannot happen.
Daniel: I would like to think not. People have tried to get rid of me before. I "took care" of them.
Jon: So, everyone now knows Legacy is dependent on you. So are there any other sites that you work for?
Daniel: I used to work for Saiyanz Rage and tried building my own anime site. I help Kyle Hebert out with his site by sending him reviews and stuff like that. I also look at other people's sites and critique them when asked.
Jon: Really?
Jon: This is an awesome talent!
Daniel: Thank you, I like to help other people out when I can.
Jon: Great. So now, we must get to the part of the show everyone is waiting for.
Jon: Now, I will give you a list of subjects, and you will pick which one you feel we should talk about.
Daniel: ok
Jon: 1) World News
Jon: 2)Cartoons
Jon: 3)Jokes
Jon: 4)Others sites we all hate
Jon: 5)Monkeys
Jon: 6)Other sites we all love
Daniel: Hmm, a bunch of good topics there, I am drawn between three of them, I guess I will go with Cartoons. Unless I can choose more than one.
Jon: We can choose as many as you like.
Daniel: Alright, how about, Sites we all love, jokes and cartoons.
Jon: Great I was thinking the same.
Jon: But, I think I will have to throw in monkeys somewhere.
Daniel: If you must.
Jon: Okay. (stacks papers)
Jon: Cartoons
Jon: Which cartoon do you feel expresses modern day life the best?
Daniel: Modern day life? Probably Futurama. It is so serious and everything in it could very well happen.
Daniel: Seriously though
Jon: I am thinking..
Jon: It could happen..
Daniel: That is a tough question; I think most people turn to cartoons for a escape from every day life. Family Guy portrayed this to an extent.
Jon: Some things seem a little odd.
Jon: You are right.
Daniel: Seinfeld portrayed every day life perfectly, it wasn't a cartoon though
Daniel: Although I tried to make a Seinfeld cartoon in the summer of 98, but that is another story.
Jon: Was this cartoon for a project?
Jon: Or for personal benefit?
Daniel: no, it was basically something to satisfy my needs. It fell apart though when all of the original actors refused to partake in it and NBC started sending me mail bombs.
Jon: (laughs)
Jon: Well I think that questions has been answered pretty well. Now for the next.
Jon: In the first episode of a cartoon, what makes you want to see the next episode?
Daniel: The cartoon needs to be original. The problem is you have so little time to show it's appeal in a 22-minute segment. Features that catch my eyes are a really good cast and a plot or setting the will keep things original.
Jon: This makes sense.
Jon: (looks at audience)
Jon: (stacks papers)
Jon: Okay, next question, then we will move on to the next subject.
Daniel: Alright.
Jon: Do you like to see a cartoon more dubbed or in its original language?
Daniel: I actually prefer dubbed. I have nothing against the Japanese or their ever-complicating language. But it is just easier listening to your mother tongue than reading scratchy subtitles.
Jon: I agree.
Jon: When I see a cartoon, I want to understand all of it.
Jon: Plus, my sight isn't 20/20 and I hate getting a headache over trying to see what the people are saying.
Daniel: Exactly, why should you?
Jon: Exactly.
Jon: This is why; I didn't enjoy the crouching tiger, hiding dragon movie, or whatever the title was.
Daniel: Well a lot of people did enjoy it.
Jon: The movie itself was great, but having to read all of the subtitles in a dark movie theater can be rough.
Daniel: Yes
Jon: Okay new subject.
Jon: (puts hand in hat)
Jon: Okay, I think we now can talk about, 'The Other site we love'
Jon: The subject is pretty much the question.
Jon: What sites do you love that you are not associated to?
Daniel: Well there a few
Daniel: I enjoy going to www.aint-it-cool.com. They have some really interesting stuff on upcoming stuff for movies and television
Jon: Well I enjoy http://www.atom.com
Daniel: ah
Jon: They have many films that will make me fall out of the chair laughing.
Daniel: Wow, I fell out of my chair once, I wasn't laughing though.
Jon: My chair is easy to fall out of.
Jon: There is nothing to hang on to and it spins around.
Daniel: Mine too. You buy yours from a ma named Rosco in an alley?
Jon: No, I skipped that place and went to Office Depot
Daniel: Oh...
Jon: They had a better deal. (laughs)
Jon: Anyway, what about Anime or Gaming sites. Any favorites?
Daniel: Ummm, I normally go to www.gamefaqs.com or www.gamespot.com for Gaming and www.animenewsnetwork.com for Anime. I visit www.kylehebert.com though, must support my friends.
Jon: Have you ever been to www.xengamers.com?
Daniel: No
Jon: Well that is a gaming site I like to visit often.
Daniel: I am not allowed to go to sites with "x"'s in them
Jon: Who put this rule on you>
Daniel: It was part of NBC's orders after I start making a cartoon off their copyrighted material
Jon: Well if you ask me NBC is screwed up in the head.
Jon: I love the channel, but someone up top has had too much of something.
Daniel: No, no, no. NBC has lots of quality television programming. I could watch them for hours.
Jon: Well, NBC...
Jon: Do you like NBC, ABC, or CBS better?
Daniel: NBC
Daniel: What do ABC or CBS have?
Daniel: Now FOX that is a quality station. I think I'm being featured in "When Webmasters go Wacky VII"
Jon: CBS has survivor and Everyone Loves Ramon.
Daniel: oh yes. I love Everybody Loves Raymond, as well as Becker. Everybody Loves Raymond always keeps me laughing. I do his voice a lot with my friends for laughs.
Jon: Well if I could do his voice, I would, but I stick with the jokes.
Jon: (laughs)
Daniel: heh
Jon: Okay, back to sites.
Jon: I think we have explained sites we like enough.
Jon: Now, here is my favorite category. Jokes.
Daniel: Mine too.
Jon: Now here are the rules, or pre-rules..
Daniel: Alright...
Jon: First off, which category of jokes?
Jon: Or should we just spit out random ones?
Daniel: I can't think of any right now, lol. What I am good at, is coming up with jokes after certain thing are said or done. I am real quick.
Jon: Ohh.
Jon: So if I say something stupid..
Jon: Then you can respond with a joke?
Daniel: Now how could YOU say something stupid
Jon: It would be easy..
Jon: I think I could need to think about being stupid really quick.
Daniel: Easy as making love to a fire hydrant?
(audience laughs)
Jon: Hey!
Jon: Don't laugh till he says a joke.
Daniel: Well moving along....
Jon: Okay.
Jon: Now, I think I know how to be stupid.
Daniel: And I believe they were laughing at your ghoulish appearance earlier
Jon: I see..
Jon: Well here is another rule, don't laugh until I press the button that makes the sign light up.
Jon: Now. Back to life.
Jon: What was I saying...
Daniel: I thought that button was to wake the audience up.
Jon: I am pretty sure my understanding was to make them laugh.
Daniel: Well, it's not like it is YOUR talk show.
Daniel: Any way, what is the next topic on your agenda?
Jon: I think after Jokes, we have to decide something else. Or I could just end it here because the audience is being a bunch of monkeys!
Daniel: And now you have subtly put all of our topics together. Bravo.
Jon: Thanks for your complement
Jon: Ohh I know another question.
Daniel: I aim ot pelase.
Jon: Jon Allen is a new staff at Legacy. How do you like working with him?
Daniel: Well, he just started. Jon is fun though, him and I are friends and we both enjoy voice acting and I think have the same sense of humor.
Jon: Really? I do or did see some similarity in his PN posts.
Daniel: Yeah. This is because Jon Allen and me are the same person.
Daniel: Actually we're not.
Jon: So, you are, or you are not the same person?
Daniel: not
Jon: Are you sure?
Jon: Do you have a secret?
Daniel: Yes, but to leave you hanging, have you ever seen the two of us together before?
Jon: No, I cannot say I have.
Daniel: Heh, heh, heh. Seriously though, we are both different people
Jon: Well that is very good to know.
Jon: Because, it wouldn't seem right having only one VA fan.
Jon: Oh, yes. I have something else to add. Are you excited about A-kon 13?
Daniel: Not as much. I am not attending. I am in Canada. I am excited for CNAnime though, which I will be attending in August. A-kon should be good though.
Jon: CNAnime, is this just like A-kon or do you think it will be better?
Daniel: I don't think it is as big. I went last year and enjoyed myself.
Jon: Well this is all that matters.
Daniel: Yep.
Jon: Do you get a lot of people come up to you and ask about Legacy or Rage?
Daniel: All the time.
Jon: Are you a special guest anywhere?
Jon: Do they announce your name?
Daniel: No
Daniel: No, maybe someday they will though.
Jon: Well, one day they will. Remember, you have to have.. that word for what I am talking about.
Jon: If I had my own little Anime sham-bang, then I would announce you.
Daniel: Thank you. That means a lot to me
Jon: Well it should. I do own my own Show! lol. No actually, thanks.
Daniel: No problem
Jon: But we must wrap this up, the audience doesn't love me anymore!
Jon: You have taken their hearts!
Daniel: That's alright. I think I am a suitable replacement
Daniel: Right Audience?
Jon: (looks around)
Daniel: Audience say "That's right Daniel"
(audience cheers)
Daniel: Well so long friends. I'm off to fight monsters in a far away galaxy.
Jon: Well you can take the audience with you if you want.
Jon: They do not like to be here on earth, go fight monkeys in Saturn or something.
Daniel: Hah, everyone knows there are no monkey's on Saturn
Daniel: Right audience?
Daniel: Audience say "That's right Daniel"
(audience nods)
Jon: Okay well...
Jon: Then I will show you all the door.
Jon: (walks over to door)
Jon: Off you all go.
Jon: It was very nice having Daniel on the show.
Daniel: Pleasure being here.
Daniel: So lon
Jon: See you later.
(Daniel walks out, some audience follows)
Jon: For those of you who are left..
Jon: Daniel sure is a nice guy, and to support him more, you all need to visit DBZGT Legacy and give him some fan mail every once in awhile.
Jon: Well I must go now, I have to have some ice cream before I explode! You all have a wonderful night.
