The Slayers is the story of a cute, young sorceress named Lina Inverse. She was 15 years old at the beginning of The Slayers first series. Lina is fairly short and has a slightly underdeveloped chest, but don't say that to her face or u will get hurt. Lina has an extremely firey temper often doing things without thinking. Lina is a glutton for food and must eat many servings to satisfy her immense appetite.
Lina is known as the "bandit-killer" or "dragon spooker." She often attacks a gang of bandits just to steal their treasure. Lina does prove to be an ally of good, however, refusing to join up with demons and even assisting in the destruction of two dark lords. Lina is a very powerful user of black magic. Her strongest spells include the Dragon Slave, the Ragna Blade, and the Giga Slave. She also knows a bit of white and shamanist magic and is a decent swordswoman.
Lina's only known family is her sister Luna Inverse. Lina is deathly afraid of Luna and even said that battling a dark lord a hundred times over is easier than facing Luna with a bamboo pole. As a girl in her hometown of Zephillia, Lina was constantly plagued by her sister and was sick of always being in her shadow. This is why she left her home to travel and to make a name for herself. She originally traveled with Naga, but they eventually split up and Lina met Gourry.
Lina says that she is traveling with Gourry just so she can get his sword of light. I think that this is just an excuse and although she will never admit it, Lina does in fact like Gourry.
