Uli was sitting outside, playing in the back yard of Mia's mansion. He sat playing with some action figures he had.
"I'm Ryo of the Wildfire," he said in a pretend deep voice. He moved one of his action figures, a G. I. Joe, forward toward a Superman. With the G. I. Joe in hand, he said, "I am Talpa! I will destroy you!" "No way!"
He flew the Superman into the G. I. Joe, knocking "Talpa" down. "No! You defeated me! How can this be?!" He laughed. "Cause Ryo always wins!" This he said in his normal little kid's voice. As he sat down, playing "Ronin Warriors", something was watching the boy. A low growl was emanated from its throat. "Huh?" Uli looked behind him, but when he saw nothing, he went back to his action figures. The prowler moved around the brush, trying to find the best striking position. Uli sat and played with his toys, oblivious to the world around him.
"RRRRRRROOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!" The white tiger leaped from his hiding place, bounding at Uli full speed.
"AAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!" He got up and started running as fast as his legs could carry him, White Blaze hot on his heels. "MMIIAA!!" Mia came out the back door, closely followed by the Ronin Warriors.
"Oh, no," Ryo sighed, "Not again...." Mia glared at him. "What?! I had absolutely NOTHING to do with it!" He looked out at White Blaze. "WHITE BLAZE!!" The tiger stopped dead in his tracks and looked at his master.
*Ryo, you're spoiling my fun.*
*And YOU, White Blaze, have just gotten me on Mia's list.*
*Oh, sorry.*
Ryo sighed. *If you're gonna attack Uli, do it when Mia isn't around.*
The tiger got an expression like a smile on his face. *All right.*
Uli lay on the ground. He had fallen when White Blaze stopped. He was breathing hard and looking scared. Then he looked at the white tiger and laughed. "White Blaze, you're so funny!"
Mia sighed. "Be happy that your tiger didn't hurt him," she whispered to Ryo. Ryo looked toward the sky as if to ask for help. "Mia, he wouldn't hurt Uli on purpose. You know that."
"I don't care," Mia replied. "He needs to be alive and in good health in order for his parents to pay his baby-sitting bill."
Ryo blinked and stared at Mia. "WHAT?!"
Mia smiled an evil smile. "That kid is not a kid. We all know that. He's a demon in a kid's body. However, as soon as the bill is paid, you and White Blaze and the others can do whatever you want to him.....after me!" Ryo smiled an evil smile as well. "Just keep him alive until then."
"Mia, you got yourself a deal." They shook hands, smiling smiles of achievement.
"What?" Kento asked.
"What's up with you two?" came Sage's teasing remark.
"Nothing," Ryo said smiling. "We've just made a deal is all."
Cye smiled. "Care to let us in on it?"
"Yeah," Rowan said, "What's up? What should we know?"
Ryo laughed. "I'll tell you later." He smiled evilly at the boy who was laughing and once again playing with his toys. "Uli, my boy, you are gonna PAY for the pain you've caused us."
