Profile and information:The main character and the hero of the show. Hibiki Tokai is a third class citizen in the planet Tarak who works as a parts mechanic of the Bangatas. Hibiki constantly dreams of a better life. He is a young (16 year old), restless, stubborn and "act before you think" guy. He cares greatly for his pride. I guess this is the reason why he bragged to his co-workers that he could steal a whole Bangata. Of course, he thinks that he couldn't do it and regrets what he said.BR>
Still, he sneaks aboard the Ikazuchi. Unfortunately for him, the Ikazuchi took off before he could get out. The ship was soon attacked and taken over by the Mejale (women empire) pirates. After some time, Hibiki goes of to fight with his bangata, to help the women defeat an unknown enemy. (His Bangata and three of the womens dread could unite and form a Vandread!)
At first, Hibiki was quite scared (sorta, ^^;;) of the women because they were known to devour men's liver (he found out that that wasn't actually true ;) ). But after some time, he did get used to them. He does get annoyed at Dita. Shes always following him and calling him "Mr. Alien". But at some point in the story (Episode 7 :p), he realized how much he would miss her if she was gone (^_^). Along the journey, Hibiki discovers what he truly is..
