Profile and information: During the very first episode of the DiGi Charat TV series, a small cat-shaped spaceship crashes onto Earth, and lands in the Akihabara District (in Tokyo). From this strange spaceship emerged two young girls and a floating yellow blob. DiGi Charat (or "Dejiko") came to Earth, in order to follow her dream of becoming a famous actress and idol -- along with Petit Charat ("Puchiko"), and their guardian, Gema. Unfortunately, Dejiko and her friends neglected to plan ahead for the trip -- Dejiko had only brought a travel guide, and didn't realize how expensive hotels were in Japan. Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema suddenly find themselves in a prickly situation: they were on a strange planet, with no food, and no place to stay. Fortunately, the manager of Gamers was kind enough to let Dejiko and company use the room above his store, and in turn, Dejiko and company would work at Gamers. And thus begins the many hilarious and non-sensical adventures of Dejiko and friends.

Dejiko is a character that everyone instantly seems to love. With short cropped green hair tucked under an oversized cat-shaped cap, she is undoubtedly cute as she putters around Gamers, performing her store worker duties. Her usual costume consists of a fanservicey maid-like outfit, with a cat tail and complete with large cat-bells. With such an appearance, it seems like Dejiko has what it takes to be an idol -- though, behind such a cute exterior, are some truly sneaky attributes.

Our loveable green-haired catgirl is quite spunky, posesses a notoriously short temper (especially when around Gema), and has a tendency to be conceited. Dejiko is also prone to fits of violence and is known to be sneaky, where a potential money-making opportunity is concerned -- during one episode, Dejiko contemplates about making a naughty manga involving two of Gamers' customers (Takurou Minagawa and Takurou Kimura) and making a large amount of money from it. When irked, Dejiko is quite confrontational, and if necessary, she will defend Gamers (using violent measures, of course) from anything to window shoppers to competition across the street. And amidst all of these sparkling attributes, she is also quite lazy and loves to annoy the snot out of fellow Gamers employee, Rabi~en~Rose. And of course, she has the habit of adding the word "-nyo" at the end of her sentences.

Dejiko also has the ability to shoot out laser beams through her eyes when she's angry -- an ability which she uses often on poor Gema. As Puchiko says during one episode, "She's really great at getting angry." And what sort of idol doesn't have a few fanboys following her? Dejiko certainly does -- upon working at Gamers, she acquires two obsessed fanboys named Yoshimi and Takeshi who are fanatically devoted to her.

Later on in the series, we also learn that Dejiko is the princess of her home planet -- DiGi Charat Planet (which coincidentally, also looks like a giant floating cat-head). Dejiko's real name is Princess Chocola, and the most recent series (DiGi Charat Panyo Panyo) covers her childhood life and many adventures as the princess on DiGi Charat Planet
