'The Old Plum Tree'. Kano Sansetsu.
Four fusuma sliding screen panels. [1647]. Once was located in a Kyoto temple and now is in the Museum of Art in NY. The twisted tree was a part of Japanese aesthetic taste. Again a reflective gold-leaf background, has been employed.
