Description:He was the more protective of the two. At age nine, their parents died during the civil war and thus made him in charge for the protection and care of his younger brother. The flute he plays was given to him by his father, just before he died and discovered that he and his twin are two of the Seiryuu Seishi. He matured quickly and hopes to end the war and gain peace. He dreams of living in a place were no war exists so that no one will ever experienced what they had and live a life of happiness.

Amiboshi first showed up when Miaka and the other Suzaku seishi are already looking for their last seishi. They were at Tamahome's house (or were they?) to rest when Miaka heard strange noises coming from outside. The next night, curious about the sound, she went outside to look for it, only to be attacked by bats. To her surprise, she was rescued by the same tune she heard the night before. It came from a boy who is playing his flute. At the sound of his flute, the bats became mad and killed themselves. The boy, who wore torn clothes revealed himself and Miaka found out that he was the last of the Suzaku Seishi, Chiriko, after seeing the sign shining on some part of his body.(I actually forgot where, sorry ^_^;) They became happy and therefore went back to the palace.

Chiriko spent his whole time with the other seishi as the story progresses, becoming a part of the family as well. He looked like he was assigned to entertain Miaka and the others when they were problematic, especially when Tamahome became bad and stuff. Anyways, when they recovered Tamahome, they were ready to summon Suzaku.

Back at Kutou, Nakago was not worried at all on the Suzaku people summoning their god. He mentioned that he had planted someone in there to stop it, and revealed a boy who looks exactly similar to Chiriko, and was introduced as Seiryuu Seishi Suboshi. At this part, it was clear that Chiriko was the traitor, known as Seiryuu Seishi Amiboshi. It was shown that the two, as twins can communicate with each other through their wrists. It was also shown Amiboshi playing his flute mysteriously as he was preparing for Suzaku's downfall. Meanwhile, a boy is shown, saying that it is time for him to show up, for there is something wrong in the palace. The boy rode a fast carriage on the way to Hotohori's palace.

In due time, they discovered that Chiriko is not really Chiriko, but a spy from the Seiryuu camp, Amiboshi. It was too late though, because Amiboshi started playing the flute destructively, making them cover their ears in pain. However, due to a distraction created by another sound, the plan failed and forced him to run away for his escape.

In their anger, Tamahome and Tasuki decided to run after him, but Miaka was already in the lead. Soon, Amiboshi came to the point where he could not escape, since the water level is high and he can't jump across it. Having no choice, he stepped back, eventually enough for his fall. Luckily (or unfortunately?) Miaka saved him by holding his flute and saying that he could use his flute for peace and stuff like that. Amiboshi was amazed but thought it was too late, so he let go and faced his "death" in the rapid water.

He appeared again as "Kaika" when Miaka was distraught at what happened in Nakago's tent and decided to run away from Tamahome. She was rescued by this Kaika from a weasel and led her to his home. He lives with his mother and father in a peaceful village and was happy to welcome Miaka. We soon find out that the elderly couple found this boy in the river unconcious, and thougtht that it was given to them by the gods as the reincarnated Kaika. (that was their son who died) Amiboshi knows this, but he never tells anyone except Miaka, who he invites to live with her and drink a broth to forget all her troubles, but she couldn't do it, so he decided to help her find Tamahome.

He saves Tamahome from Tomo but found himself trapped by Tomo as well. To save Miaka from the horrible illusion, he broke his fingers to snap out of it and played a destructive tune. He succeeded in saving Miaka but was beaten up by Tomo and his illusions. Just when he was about to face his doom, Suboshi showed up and killed Tomo. He invited his brother to come with him in the village and live in peace, like they dreamed of. He gave Suboshi the broth of forgetfulness and told him to drink it. His brother did, but then he transferred it to Amiboshi with a kiss. He was shocked but eventually the drug took effect and made him unconcious.

Suboshi brought him to the couple and hid there until he was found. He was to live there in peace with the other villagers, as Kaika, knowing nothing about Suzaku, Seiryuu or his younger brother Suboshi. On Suboshi's death, he found himself in tears though he doesn't know why. He showed up again in the OAV, when Suboshi asked him to lend his body in order to save Yui. This sacrifice became his death.

My Take: The twins were really different, even though they look alike. The war had brought them different perspectives in life. In Amiboshi's case, it led him to finding a world filled with peace. He was stronger than his brother as a child. Being the older brother, his father gave him the responsibility of taking care of his younger, weaker brother. Therefore, he too was protective of his twin but more mature. The war caused him much pain and sadness that he doesn't want others (especially his younger brother) to experience it too. That's why he dreams of putting an end to the war and live in peace and in happiness. That made him agree to Nakago's plans, believing that it would end the war in doing so.

Anyway, it's my opinion. I won't entertain suggestions to "change" my opinion just because you think it's wrong or you've been offended. Heck, I would be really offended if you do that, so please, respect my views. Other than that, I would entertain comments like your background sucks, your info is stupid or anything else, just try to be nice, okay??

What?? You know more than I do?? There were some mistakes??? You can put the episodes (especially the OAV) in detail??? Then why don't you share it. It will really make me happy and it would help this site a better thing.
